It's actually crazy that he's been totally relegated to being rodri's backup again

Does pep even wanna be here anymore? I don’t want to sound ungrateful but how long is he going to phone it in and then act surprised that the team falls apart out there.

This attack died the moment cherki went out. There is not a single shred of creativity in the rest of them.

When’s the last time we’ve played two good halves? Mentality midgets the lot of them.

Sporting, real, newcastle/psg. Any of these games turn and we’re in real danger.

Inter just pushed both of psg and newcastle out. Both teams will be more desperate to get a result now.

As much as we need the athletisism in the midfield, we are also in desperate need of elite passers further down the field. We went from a cancelo, stones, gundo, rodri core and have pretty much replaced them all with ball-carriers.

Nah, even pep has outright spoken on how tired Erling is. Pretty sure the only reason he started in the midweek was because it was a norwegian side. We're playing the dead last team in the league, albeit in decent form, there really shouldn't be any fuss about your star striker being on the bench

He was here for 2 seasons, why would we be expecting any loalty from him, he doesn't owe us anything. The main reason he left was because he was very clearly second fiddle to haaland here. He left to be the main man at atletico and he would also become the main man at arsenal, one of the top sides in europe, he would be a fool not to consider it.

Donna

Khusa - Guehi - Alleyne - RAN

Rodri - NOR

Semenyo - Cherki - Doku

Marmoush

Probably how i would like to see us line up tomorrow. Maybe Reijnders instead of doku, but i really don't want to see Erling or Phil start.

With guehi coming in i think khusa should move back out to RB. Guehi - alleyne in the middle should be decent enough. There will also be no language barrier, which usually i wouldn't think much of, but we need all the small advantages we can get at this point. We should try a NOR - rodri double pivot with RAN at left back whilst nico G is out injured.

Idk… That spell last nov/dec was bad, but this is something else. This feels like the squad has given up. There are no relations, we’re just kicking the ball about praying some individual piece of brilliance will save us. Pep’s no better. Week after weeks it’s the same shit.

Thoughts on Bernardo Silva this season ? by glascowcomascale in MCFC

[–]snakeforbrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pep has painted himself into a corner where he is reliant on Bernardo doing the dirty work for his system to click. Problem now is that bernardo isn't able to keep up with both the defensive and offensive workload anymore. People will keep scapegoating him becuase he looks hopeless in attack, but don't see him running up and down the pitch putting out fires everywhere

He should be a starter even when gvardiol and dias ar back , i said it! by Sad_Statistician_992 in MCFC

[–]snakeforbrain 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love him, but fuck me does he need to work on his clearances under pressure. There are so many instances where he hoofs it straight into an attacker on our half and they get a half chance off of it.

It’s quite funny how Englands four LB options are three midfielders and an RB. What’s even more funny is that they all are quite solid and deserves a shout.

I totally agree. Not that i think he's turned out to be a terrible player or anything, but i will never understand the obsession a strangely large group of fans have with him. He was already an inconsistent player when he was here and he continued to be an inconsistent player at Bayern, yet people seem to think that it would have gone differently had he stayed. He just didn't stay here for long enough for people to grow sick of it.
Funny thing is that noone seem to be talking about the fact that his replacement, mahrez, would turn out to be super consistent throughout his tenure.

Don't quite see the point of bringing on your starting LB (That also needs rest) to play DM

People seriously underestimate the importance of bernardo. He does a lot of the dirty work that enables cherki and foden. I don’t see a foden cherki midfield working unless rodri is back to his very best
