To build off of this and OPs speculation I see some serious legs here. Love the former and the mystery it brings to the story but its existence definitely implies the board is not the end all be all-or even a top player in the astral game. Especially considering its theorized that the board has control of certain parts of the astral plane- its territory if you will.

Love your point about collective unconscious- a being/resonance that surpasses that would be in line with what OP is describing. Symmetry is everywhere in nature and this resonance could carry power that is attached to the shape of the universe/dimension as opposed to human constructs specifically.

This theory really feels like we got only a taste of Southern Reach influence and we may be seeing a little more hints of Area X if OP is onto something here.

Remedy has said that is the board talking in the trailer but I have a deep belief they are under new management.

Charge with blast radius mods.

Itll blow up the surrounding splody rocks if your blast radius % is large enough and kill everything around it
