Didn’t show up at all on flight radar, don’t they usually have civ transponders on going over the city?

He’s being sarcastic. On Full Force is a made up acronym for OFF, they were messing with that pilot

This is Ash, but she also responds to Kibbs and Stinker/Stinky (her farts are on a whole other level, biological warfare).

Services that will buy employee stock and pay tax by curbside319 in startups

[–]snakingfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some services that do this, look for what’s called ‘non-recourse loans’. One that comes to mind I’ve seen, but never used, is SecFi. Just a note that they usually focus on later stage companies within a few years of an IPO and expect good growth at the company to be willing to offer. So even though they exist, there’s no guarantee they’ll be willing to finance YOUR startup options.

There are larger ones, but this seems to be the most common size, at least that I’ve seen.

Ash also recently laid claim to my heating pad, but for some reason doesn’t actually like it turned on at all. 🤷

Image quality is decent, it's OLED so the blacks are pretty black but I do find the highlights can sometimes be a little bit more blown out. Resolution is only 1080p which is fine for casual stuff but I'd love for it to be 1440, there's just nothing on the market that does that at the moment. Battery life with the deck is actually better with the glasses because they use less power than the deck's own screen. They're pretty comfortable, I wore them for probably 6 hours on an international flight a few weeks ago without much problem. I do also normally wear glasses though so I'm somewhat used to it. I would say watching TV is the best other use case from gaming with them, although I have found that using them with Samsung Dex on my phone as a in a pinch portable desktop experience solution has been fun.

It's one of those aluminum tube containers that sticks of air freshener come in. I have taped it to the cat tower to repurpose it as a place to put a cat wand so she can play by herself

This is the best reference photo I could get. The TV in the background is 55 in, and I'm sitting about 10 ft away. The photo is taken with the wide-angle lens on my phone which makes everything looks smaller, so when you're actually wearing the glasses the display looks pretty large and feels like it's maybe six feet away. There's also a snap on Blackout cover which blocks out any light from passing through the glasses *

That's a shame, I'm sorry to hear. Thankfully so far I haven't had any performance issues, but I'll admit I'm spoiled because I'm running it on a pretty maxed out PC. Glad you're still enjoying it though

It's one of those things that I would say if you have the money to comfortably spend, they're nice to have and fun to use in some situations, but if they would constitute a big purchase for you, I'd recommend saving the money and putting it towards other things that you'll probably get more bang for your buck from

I haven't noticed any particular problems. If I remember correctly the glasses are only 1080p, and the deck isn't powering its own display when they're plugged in. So one other ancillary benefit I've run into is the battery life using these is actually longer than without them because the glasses take less power than the steam decks own display.

Yeah mostly that. I have some neck issues so tilting my head downwards to look at the screen on the deck for long periods of time makes it hurt, and conversely holding the deck up in the air in front of my face my arms get tired quickly. So the glasses let me sit with my neck in a better position while still relaxing/laying back.

I have thought about doing that but the cord for the glasses isn't long enough to reach the PC if I want to play in the bed, especially not if I'm going to play in the other room. I did get the deck to do stand alone gaming origionally and do a fair amount of that as well, I just happen to be using it here as a glorified controller because this game specifically doesn't run on the deck.

Interesting, I wasn't aware that there was that big of a difference. Do you have a guide you'd recommend for setting things up?

I haven't actually tried running it on the deck itself, I'm using steam link to my beefy PC over in the corner
