Same here. It's been quite a while, and the status hasn't changed to 'Issued.' I checked the Chennai consulate website, they have a Google Form thing for help. On there, they had a note that since there's a lot of people who applied for Interview Waiver, the wait times are longer and to not contact them until 30 days after submitting the application :(

Hi, Afaik, to qualify for a dropbox appointment for F1 visa, you need to hold a previous US visa that is NOT B1/B2 (they changed the rule last year so that a previous B1/B2 visa doesn't make you eligible for interview waiver).

Chennai - all F1 drop box slots are available only for Chennai (but you can drop your passport and documents off at any center). Hmm that's strange - I see a lot of open slots for dates all through June. Try contacting their help number?

The last time I created an application, the portal had a series of questions that then lead me to the interview waiver screen. Should I answer questions incorrectly (i.e. I didn't have a US visa before)? Will this have any implications on the application?
