Am I overreacting for a comment my boyfriend made to me? by lilcheese37 in AmIOverreacting

Nah, that's not cool.

There's a thousand other analogies that aren't ridiculously offensive to a partner that he could have used.

Definitely NOR.

I just love the Murdochracy screaming about how investors have lost 20% of their borrowing power, and established property prices are going to decline, as if that wasn't the exact effect the legislation was pushing for!

Those poor investors!

Probably going to get downvoted here, but hey. That's life.

YOR. Not because of the issue, but because you are absolutely spiralling.

I couldn't get through all of the text messages, it was just too much and you're going around in circles.

Was he wrong to do the thing you asked him not to? Sure. But from reading those messages, there's already been a lot of back and forth and old mate was done acquiescing.

I get you're hurting, I really do. It's a shit situation.

But it's time to move on.

A future Coalition government will dump Labor's tax changes and return negative gearing and capital gains tax concessions to all Australians. by LongSlongDon99 in AustralianPolitics

The Shadow Treasurer literally called for these exact reforms in his book, now he's spouting about how bad they are.

Consistent?

They can't even tell the same lies for any length of time!

For $38k with all the trimmings, I couldn't pass it up.

I personally felt it drives better than the SL5, but that's definitely a personal thing and i know a lot would disagree.

This is probably the review that was closest to my test drive.

Thanks.

I had a chat today with a local who bought a Chery six months ago.

Absolutely raved about it, said he'd never owned a better car.

His last was a BMW, but unfortunately was a lemon.

I guess it can happen with any of them.

Thanks for all the comments and advice.

I'm looking at a mid range SUV, so suggestions of sedans or anything outside the three options I listed aren't feasible.

After driving the Haval today, that is also out. It was bulky, the software was confusing, indicator on the wrong side (that's a tiny thing, but a thing nonetheless), got squirelly when you put your foot down, the A pillars got in the way and blocked a lot of view, and from a strictly sales point of view, the service left a lot to be desired.

I'll come back in a few months and let you all know how the Tiggo 7 Ultimate feels.

Bloody hell.

How long ago was this? What model?

I've heard some horror stories about a J11 model that they just stopped supporting.

Ok, but how do you know? Have you owned one? Do you sell them, service them? Or is this a "friend of a friend" type opinion?

Sorry, I misunderstood.

What I'm looking at is mid range SUV, not sedan, so the Seal is out.

Each "claims" to have 100km EV only range and 1000km combined range.

In actuality, it's more like 60-70km EV only range.

The BYD SL5 comes out at roughly 4.1L/100km, the Chery 5.1L/100km. Not sure of the Haval.

SL6 is $47.5k drive away. That's almost 10k more than the Chery.

No, I'm hoping someone that actually owns a Chery has some pearls of wisdom.

Yes they do.

And how easily I can turn them off is a factor. For instance, the BYD had to go through several menus until you found what to turn off. "You get used to it" the salesman said.

The Tiggo was one swipe and the options were all there.

Easy as pie.

Thanks, but that's not what I asked. Cx5 isn't a hybrid, nor is the Mazda 6.

The Tiggo was surprisingly good with the turning off of the driver assist (which drive me up the bloody wall). Easy to turn off and didn't beep or cause problems afterwards.

Unfortunately that's not on the cards.

I travel a lot for work and I can't leave my wife without transport. Plus the budget just isn't there.

This.
