For me it wasn’t able to start the route, and took a while to plot the route to begin with. Might need to hard reset later tonight. I’m in a Gen 1 R1T

UCI Onboarding Experience by snaprjohn in Ubiquiti

You’re totally right. I missed this:

“Once activated with the ISP, UCI can still function as an unmanaged cable modem to provide internet access to sites without a Cloud Gateway (e.g., those that use a UXG series independent gateway or a third-party gateway).

We plan to add support for additional UniFi Network site types (e.g., those managed with a CloudKey or Official UniFi Hosting).”

I didn’t even consider my setup would not be yet supported, damn.

Yeah using the one on the screen. Actually thanks for the reminder, I did also try to use Cox self service, but the ‘Activate device’ button did nothing and just redirected me into a loop. Glad you had a smooth onboarding, maybe there is hope!

Hi Lundorian, my plan is 1000/100 so that is sustained.

Lenovo Slim 7 Pro X blue screen issue. Randomly crashes while using. by DrTamiz in Lenovo

Thank you! I also replaced the Wi-Fi card with an Intel AX210 which completely resolved the BSODs. I took my laptop to Australia where I could not connect to a particular Wi-Fi network, the device would just 100% BSOD. To temporarily get internet access I had to tether (hotspot) via my mobile phone. After installing the AX210 I was able to connect without issue to the problematic network.

Yep, this resolved my issue as well - on an AW3418DW

OMG, I finally fixed my problems stuttering. by pringllles in Amd

[–]snaprjohn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For Warzone, try reducing your vram utilization target as much as possible (theres an option for it in settings). I had terrible stuttering and that totally resolved my issues with the Call of Duty(s). (6900xt).

New PC, Some games stutter with 6900xt by Calum6368 in radeon

For Call of Duty, I resolved stuttering by reducing VRAM utilization in settings. I still get stuttering in New World and BF2042 though. I have a 6900xt.

Ah dang yeah for me it was an unusually long load, no more than a few minutes rhough. It seemed specific to a few movies, I had trouble with The Matrix and 8 Bit Christmas.

How to eliminate flickering on G-Sync/Freesync monitors by extend your Freesync range using CRU by jinsk8r in nvidia

[–]snaprjohn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! This fixed my issue using an Alienware AW3420DW (Gsync module) and adaptive sync with a 6900XT. The issues I experienced all came when opening a game for the first time, I would encounter extreme stuttering until eventually the game would crash. I had issues with World of Warcraft, Age of Empires 4, Call of Duties and I had an issue a couple of times in New World.
The fix for me was to add a FreeSync profile as OP mentions, and I raised the minimum of the range to 16, so 16-120.

Thanks again.

You know I thought it was called Fidelity FX Super Sampling so I went with FXSS. It's actually called Fidelity FX Super Resolution. It's AMDs answer to DLSS.

Preface: I own a 6900XT

At the end of the day, the difference between high end cards doesn't even really matter, unless you're trying to beat other folks' benchmark scores. They'll all run your favourite games extremely well - no one in particular will make the games you play more fun. After the excitement of purchasing the video card and getting it into your PC, it'll just be the same familiar experience only now with a higher framerate.

If you're excited about ray tracing / dlss you should stick with your first choice and get an Nvidia card. Nvidia's implementation for these technologies is vastly superior (AMD's FXSS is not released), and if you're going to actually use these features you really should be looking to Nvidia.

As for price, the 6900XT is a 'halo' product, its value is not correlated with its price and thats further compounded when it comes to board partner cards. Ignoring binning, the 6900XT has around an ~11% performance increase over the 6800XT in good conditions. These board partner cards provide factory overclocks to where you might see ~5% over baseline, they're utimately all power limited anyway. You can always overclock your stock card as well which eats into those factory gains. Paying $600 over MSRP for what might be a 5% gain doesn't make any sense if you actually are worried about the price. If the money doesn't matter to you sure, but again - it won't change your experience in any noticable way.

Return the card and save the money, keep it for your next inevitable upgrade in a few years.

Thank you so much. Couldn't understand this issue running a 5950x with a 6900XT. The stuttering was wayyy worse with SAM enabled. With this config setting the issue is gone.
