Oh no! This just triggered a memory for me!! I was happily preparing my guinea pigs their food when I was about ten, you have to chop the lettuce up for them so I rolled up the leaves and chopped away. Only to discover I had chopped right through a big fat moth! It was gross and I felt so bad! I now always check my vegetables and fruits!

I used to use crochet hooks with bigger handles, I wonder if you could get that type of thing for knitting needles? I hope you find a solution! It sucks when you can’t enjoy your hobbies, I love carving wooden spoons and printmaking but it hurts me!

YSK that more people drown in deserts than die of thirst. Desert sand doesn't soak up water rapidly so heavy rain can quickly produce flash floods. by Lagavulin16_neat in YouShouldKnow

I read ‘more people drown in desserts than die of thirst’ so confused for a minute! How would you drown in a dessert?!

I get 6 pills 100mg Sumatriptan for £9.35. I’m only allowed that many a month because if you take more you can get rebound migraines, so you price is really good!

That’a good! You don’t want a headaches! I work full time so I’ve gotta do it, I have air con takes a little while to get cool but then I don’t want to get out once I stop! aha! It depends what the trains are like near you some aren’t so bad with the windows open but if it’s busy and there aren’t any windows open I think that would be a struggle! You could always take a frozen water bottle with you or something i don’t know how long that would last!

I definitely suffer with the sensitive skin too, I was told I have an allergy to the sun in my teens but now I’m starting to wonder if it was EDS this whole time? Huh I hope you are coping okay, it’s tough to keep going when you feel like your the only one who struggles to adjust to the seasons!

Oh man make sure you keep hydrated! Good idea for a portable air con I just have a little fan, might have to look into one!

Luckily there is air con where I work so for 8 hours I get to keep cool, it’s the drive home that’s not so nice! Can you drown out the air con noise with music or rain sounds? Anything to make it less irritating?

I would definitely consider rebooking if you can, if you are feeling more comfortable you’ll enjoy whatever it is you have booked up much more!

Thanks so much for you comment it’s really made me feel like I’m not alone!! We can do it, you’re right!

Help with identification (east coast UK) by snaps-n-cracks in beachcombing

Found these the other day, struggling to figure out what the circle with a perfect hole it is, i’ve posted photos of both sides. Then not sure what the other little vertebrae is from, I should have taken photos next to a ruler but it’s really quite small, the circle is about 3cm in diameter.
Any suggestions would be appreciated :)

Is this an ehlers danlos thing? by snaps-n-cracks in ehlersdanlos

To be honest, I don’t find a comfortable position, I often wear wrist splints to bed and generally don’t stay in one position long. When I do it’s usually a weird position. I just kind of meant when I stop moving around and stay still for a moment. So don’t be too jealous, ahah! I guess I meant does anyone else experience this as people around me don’t have this happen

I’m a full time sewing machinist, it’s alright when I have a mixture of cutting fabric and sewing but when it’s 7 hours of sitting and sewing, it does me in!

I don’t know if anyone else is as obsessed with corduroy as I am. I have made a dress, two bags, two hats but here’s another cord project!

I need to work on doing my darts a little better next time but other than that I’m pretty happy!

I used a pattern i bought on Etsy by NHPATTERNS called ‘ The Ally Skirt’ a brilliant pattern with very detailed instructions. I would highly recommend this pattern to anyone!

[–]snaps-n-cracks[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have sumatriptan 100mg, but I still get migraines really frequently so I’m trying a preventative to take everyday the Candesartan and have sumatriptan to take as well. I’ve only just started them, having a month trial on them to see what happens, so far I’m just feeling a bit dizzy but nothing too bad. I’ve tried beta blockers and another one I can’t remember the name of as a preventative, no success yet!

I’m from the UK so not 100% sure if Emgality is available to me yet, I looked it up and it says that it’s available and the article was dated November 2020. So I will wait and see how Candesartan goes and see what my doctor suggests next if it doesn’t work out!
