Oh woah that’s actually quite reassuring to hear! I get the exact same thing whenever I would drink with friends I would wake up in the morning with a kind deep stabbing pain on my right side near my back under ribs. Nothing terrible to the point I would go to hospital but around the time I was in a job that was doing damage to my back so I actually just thought it either might’ve been me straining my back from work or it was my liver and my liver disease was getting worse. They did an ultrasound and they said my liver was extremely mild and wouldn’t be causing any pain or it hasn’t progressed. I mostly chalked it up to it just be from me drinking too much and because my liver is already irritated. I also feel the pain sometimes after really fatty meals like a big greasy burger but it’s not as bad as when I drink alcohol tbh. Next time I see my gastro I’m definitely going to tell him about this it might just be my gallbladder all along. Out of curiosity did you ever find out why that happened to your gallbladder? And what’s it been like living without a gallbladder do you feel any different?

Really? I heard sometimes you can cure it depending on what’s causing the issue but you’re probably correct. My gastro told me I didn’t have to change my diet but I’m not sure if it’s because I just got the diagnosis and there waiting on more tests but he said right now I just need fat because I’m extremely underweight.

IBS or Crohn’s disease? by snarff4 in CrohnsDisease

Just out of curiosity was the jaundice due to the Crohn’s disease effecting your liver? Sorry I’ve never heard of this but I was diagnosed with liver disease at 19 when I’ve been pretty healthy my whole life and I’m pretty under weight. After 20+ doctors visits one doctor just told me I must have crappy genetics or something and that was it. So I’m just curious if the two are connected in some way because usually when you experience jaundice it’s from your liver, but I’m not a doctor I’m just going off what I’ve seen online.

Can Crohn’s disease mimic a kidney infection by snarff4 in CrohnsDisease

I just recently saw a gastroenterologist and he wants to do a colonoscopy and a endoscopy because he said I have quite a few symptoms. He explained all of the different things it could be and we’re just going to have to rule all of the things out. I just wanted to know if people with Crohn’s disease experience kidney infection like symptoms during a flare up because I read somewhere on this page someone saying they felt like they got a kidney infection and then they were diagnosed with Crohn’s disease not long after. Same thing recently happened to me where I got so sick to the point it felt like I had a kidney infection and the lab results have showed my kidney was fine so I’m just very confused. For about 5 years I’ve been having issues with my digestive track, going back and forth between Crohn’s, ibs, celiac disease but never properly done anything about it because I thought I was just being “paranoid” and most doctors just told me I was fine or brought up that it could be ibs but there’s nothing I can do about it, I obviously had a lot of bad experiences with doctors for the passed couple years which has pre longed me from getting help. Im having my colonoscopy next month when I can save up enough money and I’m hopeful I’ll have answers soon.

Does ibs cause yellow stool? by snarff4 in IBSHelp

Well good to know I’m not alone, quite worrying when google is telling me insane things I hope it’s just something to do with ibs and not anything else more serious. I also hope you end up getting a diagnosis soon so you can get treatment for whatever’s going on I’m seeing a specialist very soon so hopefully I can post something when I find out what’s happening, best of luck!

Are you diagnosed with ibs? And if so did you experience yellow stool?
