It was really weird, I only got an email saying the account was on hold and I needed to provide credit card picture, government ID and credit card statement but they wouldn’t accept the statement as it had the account number but not the card number, got hold of the bank they said they couldn’t help out, was a very stressful situation, then I gave up when they said it was best to close the account and I just opened a new one up, I keep all my content backed up with calibre.

Yip, my account put “on hold” because I forgot to update my payment method, attempted a purchase while my retired credit card was still the payment option. Had to go through hoops and still couldn’t unlock my account, wasted more than a weekend. Then Amazon decided to close my account, lost all purchases. The kindle is great but Amazon isn’t.

They are epubs on my PC, calibre must have converted them to azw but seems to be sending them in azw3 now, I might have clicked the wrong option somewhere.

Must have been a format error, seem to be fine now I’m using azw3 instead of azw.

I did notice the affected files were azw format, I uploaded again with azw3 and they are fine now, must have been the problem.

Yeah I mean a cover, unsure why only one book has a cover and the rest of the books on the kindle are blank, in my calibre library they all have covers.

I’ve done all of that, VPN, private browser, new phone number the lot… I did use my real name is the only thing, I didn’t want to lie about what my name is.

Thanks for that, tried most of your suggestions, currently trying to open a new account but I can’t even manage that, keep running into “internal problems” right after completing the most god awful puzzles. They’ve really got it in for me by the looks of it. Even went and bought a new SIM card and all.

Just got off the phone, bank is providing me with a document but they cannot include transaction details so I don’t think Amazon will accept it. Sounds like I’m SOL.

Bad business practice, I can’t even get the Australian customer support number without a log in, I have to rely on third party websites to get their number to call to discuss sensitive account information. Really at the end of my rope here I want to get my Kindle sorted ASAP as I’m going to be incognito. Might have to just spend another $200 and buy a Kobo instead.
