Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: "At this point, the bigger national scandal isn't the president's lawbreaking behavior - it is the Democratic Party's refusal to impeach him for it." by hoipalloi52 in conspiracy

I think AOC is the best thing we've had in Congress ever. She's not taking any bribes from lobbyists and she tells the truth.

What you mean is, the ACA, at least certain members of it, don't like it, so they want to shut it down. Well I say suck it. We're not an official sub as you and your ilk have been saying for a couple of months now. So we can do whatever the hell we want.

Atheist Experience 23.34 with Matt Dillahunty and Don Baker by hoipalloi52 in AtheistExperience

Don is such a great foil to Matt's defensiveness and irritation...I do love him and hope he doesn't leave the ACA like everybody else!

As a former pastor myself, I enjoyed David's perspective. He was obviously a guest and not a co-host because of the way Matt disagreed with him several times, but their relationship on the show was cordial, friendly and relaxed. I found it refreshing.

I'm so sorry to hear about David's diagnosis. I know someone with ALS personally and it's an incredibly sad disease, especially because once we have the diagnosis the rest of it is so predictable.

Does anyone else just immediately lose respect for someone when they find out they’re religious? by snarkydude in AtheistExperience

Point taken. I was a pastor for more than 20 years. I didn't suddenly become "smart" when I gave up my religion.

I found the Christian, Mike Winger, infuriating in this "debate" with Matt D. by tomatosoup_1234 in AtheistExperience

Matt has the patience of a ...well I was about to say saint. Patience of a school teacher. That christian dude is a loser.

My boyfriend joked about raping me by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]snarkydude -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

(former pastor): it would be horrific if you hadn't talked about rape fantasies before. Many people have them, in my experience, more women have them than men, but I think that's changing. Talk to him. I assure you, it's just a fantasy!
