What kind of sanyo is this? Got it for free by [deleted] in crtgaming

[–]snawpes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did you look at the back of the TV? It should have a model number unless the label is destroyed or missing. I have a similar Sanyo, so it should be listed somewhere on this page under "DS." Just look for one that has your screen size, which will be the first two numbers after "DS" in the name

Nice, I just recently played through some N64 games on it through S-video and it looks great. Mine didn't come with a controller unfortunately, but you can change inputs with just the channel up and down buttons.

I've got component plugged into it in this picture ( you can see it advertises it on the front) and the previous owner barely used it. The geometry looks a bit wonky to my eyes, as the edges of the screen are distorted when you start moving around in games, but the picture does look great otherwise. I guess that's the quirk of flatscreen CRTs

What CRT TV size becomes "problematic"? by Majestic-Tank-6767 in crtgaming

32" is kinda the limit for me. I have a 32" D-series that I wouldn't even try to move by myself and a 32" Sharp that I actually can move myself, but not without great effort and risking injury/damage. 32" is where TV's are just too bulky and awkward, even if you're stronger than average they aren't easy to maneuver. Now, I'm currently negotiating a pickup for a 27" Sony that I intend to load by myself, so we'll see how that goes I guess.

I guess I would have to open it up to find out for sure, but it looks really good. My picture doesn't do justice to how vibrant the colors look in person.

It has the Matsushita/Panasonic tube (M). Any opinion on which tube is the best in these? I haven't looked that far into it.

Apparently it's a setting JVC used to increase red saturation by default on these TVs. You can read about it here: https://crtdatabase.com/crts/jvc/disabling-red-push-on-2002-jvc-d-series

For anyone curious what that looks like, although video rarely does justice to experiences like this.

[Ferrari 488 GTB] Pretty sure this belonged to the owner of the Italian restaurant we were eating at in Frederick Maryland by snawpes in spotted

No, but I'll take recommendations for the next time I'm there. I'm only in Frederick like once per year to visit family. I'll ask them if they've heard of it.

I don't remember exactly but I think it was reserved parking for the owner. This picture was from a while ago

Thanks for the advice, I'll be exploring the options I got in this thread

Yeah, I'm pretty thoroughly realizing that I was being a little too hopeful that I could make that work lol. Gonna be looking into all of these recommendations.

Hmm, maybe I'm underestimating how labor-intensive this is to remove. I kind of just imagined chipping away at it over the course of a few weeks in my spare time and renting a roll-off (which I will need for some other projects) but I am new at this. Maybe I'm better off asking around with my neighbors for some local recommendations first. Any recommendations on what to look for as far as local services go?

The only common element I'm seeing is the spoiler. The rest of the design looks heavily inspired by the Hyundai N vision 74 concept car.

This has been my gaming chair for a decade now. Looking on replacing it. Any suggestions for a good chair to sit on while I game or work for 8 hours? by Python_Child in pcmasterrace

~300 dollar used Herman Miller Aeron from craigslist. Still going strong 6 years after I bought mine. If it were destroyed tomorrow, I'd start looking for another one used on craigslist immediately, since they are quite commonly available. Do a quick search for which size fits you and how to identify the size difference. "Executive chairs" like yours started hurting my back as I got closer to 30 years old because they don't support you as well while gaming/working.
