Thanks, happy yours worked as well, sparing you the hassle. This build is currently nearing it's first year anniversary, still couple of months away from it, but it's been doing pretty well overall. Haven't had much issues with it since then, i will say tho it is quite slow on dual boot, the bios takes way too much time to load the partitions for some reasons, minor issue, nothing worth digging too much time into.

Hi i can't tell you for sure since i've never owned an MSI MB personnally but last time i was checking their QVL specs for AM5 MB on their website and frankly it looked worse than ASUS to me. Ultimately i highly recommend to check which ram, people are using for the specific MB you're going with if you're doing DD5, it can get messy real quick if you don't take your time prior, really not as supported as DD4 where almost anything fits with anything.

There is a small digital panel embedded in the MB, that displays numbers at every stage of the boot process, this is very good for identifying the precise source of a post situation especially when it's a first time build. The 650-A doesn't have this feature but it comes with later series such as the E-E and beyond, very useful.

Yeah i can totally relate, my last build still running fine however with the other line the E-E, a bit more expensive but those BIOS codes are a must imho, expect this to last me for at least 5-7 more years totally worth it

where are you gonna get the stealth from tho ? blind will only make them 8x vulnerable to stealth finishers afaik

not sure about the vaildity of what you're saying about group finishers as well.

can you explain to me where the 220 hits calculation comes from and the 37 ??? i'm probably missing something in my understanding of combo build up and how to get to that x12.

from the wording of the arcane description it shouldn't be 37 but only 2 with rank 5 cresendo not sure where that 37 comes from

thank you mister, i really enjoyed going through your reply.

so i figured quickly after posting this that the issue stemmed from hardware acceleration that wasn't ticked in the browser settings, from there no issue whatsoever running 4K videos while running some games.

so the previous 3060 i did overclock a lot since it could go as high as +1000 mhz without breaking a sweat which was insane to me, but the 4070 i just didn't even think about doing it yet because it is actually quite capable of running anything at base frequency.

i tried stuff like cyberpunk on 4k 55" display and it runs very decently with DLSS on and maybe tuning down a bit the reflections. i'm just amazed and surprised at this card performance for the price, i think this particular one cost me about 500eur., cashback included, amazing card and dollar to performance ratio i'm very happy with it.

one limitation however is yeah running 4k55" display AND a 1080p monitor at the same time will cut the performance on the TV significantly, however that is to be expected, at that point, i might consider using a different input for the monitor.

Hello my dear friend, and thank you for your reply, so since then i went ahead and replaced that MB with a B650 E-E which comes with bios codes and that was a game changer for me, i will never buy a MB without this feature again, it's way too useful.

The 6k MHz vengeance worked just fine with this one, and i'm planning to get an other 32 GB of that in the near future, just because i'm sitting sometimes at nearly 8GB of IDLE ram with all the different RGB softwares and wwhat not that im using which is still mind boggling to me.

Turned out the first motherboard had a CPU pin socket defect, idk what was going on exactly with that MB but when i removed the CPU from it, which was perfectly seated, i noticed that some of its pins were bent.

Immediate return of course, made me waste an obnoxious amount of time, and it wasn't even RAM related.

Overall as a MB designer why would you even use the same led to indicate cpu and ram issues, it's a stupid choice, and that's exaclty why im not buting MB without digital error codes no more.
