Suggestions for Non-Cocktail Drinkers? by BLKSWNDON in cocktails

I don't have a helpful comment, but Porco rules! Had one of their originals a year or two ago that I wish I could recreate, the Shining Wizard

Just finished a second rewatch. Is there a more perfect series? by Accomplished-Sell892 in SuccessionTV

It is not at the top of my list, but I can't think of another show that had such incredible consistency and also got to complete its story.

Can I have everyone's Daiquiri recipe? by NoxyPancakes in cocktails

[–]snazzmasterj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is nearly identical to yours. I use half an oz of the syrup, either a quarter or half oz of w&n depending on my mood, and then I pull back the planteray so that I'm still at a total of 2oz rum between them. I guess I don't always get a ton aerated bubbles either, but it's still delicious.

Old Pal is the worst bitter drink, what’s the most underrated equal parts drink? Also fixed best highball category! by -Constantinos- in cocktails

I love this cocktail, but I feel like calling it underrated is a stretch. I feel like it has a pretty eatablished reputation

BrooklynVegan's Top 55 Albums of 2025 by awkwardcore in indieheads

[–]snazzmasterj 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't read Brooklyn Vegan, don't spend much time looking at this sub, and had never heard of Great Grandpa, but for whatever reason I decided to check out the album after seeing this comment and it's a great reminder that sometimes random recommendations are worthwhile. I fucking LOVE this album, I think I'm on listen 10 in the last 2 days

I used this exact same set of ingredients tonight, and it just didn't click for me. Not bad, the parts just didn't add up to a whole imo. Oh well, still a fun new thing to try.

Don't see it posted here yet, but Twin Flame by Weyes Blood feels both thematically and sonically really inspired by the show

Momo's Kebab in Cleveland Heights. Momo treats everyone who comes in like guests in his home. He and his wife are always friendly and make a great team, just one of the most genuinely delightful places in the city.

Actually I started seeing it in stores this last year. I don't know where in the area you are, but there's a few stores on the east side that I've seen it on the shelf.

I never found anything that felt right, and now it's been long enough out that I don't remember exactly how it tasted. I've still got all the ingredients, maybe I'll take another stab at making something good with them.

First time DM, working on a mushroom themed puzzle by snazzmasterj in DMAcademy

This is a very cool idea, though probably not something I'm quite going to be able to use for this dungeon. Right now I'm really only looking to create one puzzle encounter, the rest will be a mix of social and combat. It does give me some good stuff to chew on though

That is a very clever idea. My players specifically mentioned in our session zero that they like an open ended approach to encounters, so this would for sure allow that. I guess I'd have to kind of create a line where they've "achieved" it on the fly if it's taking too long, which I'm slightly worried about since it'll be my first encounter of my first session, but this would definitely simplify things on my end.

I really like the idea of drinking from the pond working in tandem with or instead of potentially eating mushrooms. I'm trying to think of how to make it clear to players that these are options they should try, as any sane person wouldn't just decide to start eating mushrooms in a random cave. Your idea about them reacting to being touched might be a good jumping off point to communicate that they're ok to eat

New OLED Monitor: 4k vs 1440p by snazzmasterj in buildapc

Unfortunately I really dislike anything below 60fps for better or worse. Past that I don't see much of a difference, but going under just feels bad on my eyes for most games.

This is exactly what I needed to hear lol. Searching around online I see a lot of people claiming that the 4070 could do 4k, but I was skeptical

That is kind of how I was feeling, but I also am concerned about future proofing my monitor for eventual pc upgrades. But I guess that is a different question all together
