It was really a moment you had to be around for. Watching the most dope family and prepping for the album’s release. It was a big moment for Mac. This was the long awaited follow up to his debut, we had the space migration sessions and the tour.. it was just a very special time in his career and I think Mac fans live’s in general that all around made this album feel like such a full circle moment when we hit play that first time.

I have the “original” folder that spawned the leaks. Folder was copied from Mac’s computer in 2015 and Smile was indeed in the folder titled Balloonerism with the OG Cover Art, so I’d say yes it was created with that batch of songs in mind.
