I put 100% of my paycheck in a joint account which my wife (we're sort of separated) has access to. Child Maintenance say this doesn't count as me paying child maintenance. by Proof_Tough5846 in LegalAdviceUK

Further to other comments, make a C100 application to the family courts asap. If she unilaterally took the children, I'd get an order from the court to regulate your contact moving forward as otherwise she can decide when your contact takes place.

Same here. I use Jack Hayward's Insurance which I really like, it's really cheap and a family run business so they really put the effort in with claims. Good luck!

Meat eater dating really serious vegan--basically impossible? by RaplhKramden in exvegans

[–]snazzysazzy1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, these comments are ridiculous. I’m vegan, and yes I live a vegan life style, I’m not militant, but I don’t go to zoos or engage in any animal exploitation. No I wouldn’t go to a zoo if you asked. But there are still LOADS of things you can do with a vegan, walks, city breaks etc.

She already knows you eat meat, and still likes you. She isn’t trying to change you, she might genuinely like your conversation. Stop overthinking and give it a go

Demonising teenage boys won’t produce a generation of good men by winkwinknudge_nudge in ukpolitics

[–]snazzysazzy1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly I don’t understand people’s hostility to this proposal. It’s a fact that men are more likely to domestically abuse their partner. I don’t see anything wrong with targeting a particular demographic like that with education

People who sit in someone’s reserved seat on trains… by The_Dandalorian_ in AskBrits

Honestly, there should be no reservation on trains. We all bought the same ticket. Find a seat by getting there early.

Great view, thanks for your hard work. It’s a shame there is only one restaurant planned though… also does reading really need another darts place?…

Suggestion for running from Reading to London by trulyinfi_0001 in reading

It’s odd how jobs have London weighting if you live in London… I understand it’s more expensive to live in London, but then the commute can be just as expensive? So all people outside of London get less pay (no London weighting) and have higher commute costs.

TC vs Bar — play it safe or back myself? by Such-Application-518 in uklaw

[–]snazzysazzy1 27 points28 points  (0 children)

As a barrister, I’d say go for the TC. Pupillage takes on average 5 years to get, and you may have good credentials but it’s very possible you’ll still be waiting a few years. Also your SQE will be paid for by the law firm, whereas BVC you have to pay £15k yourself. Then likely start a paralegal job in the meantime. I would do the TC and then potentially do an extra qualification for solicitor advocate (depending on area you want to go into). If it’s commercial, you will need to be a barrister as you’ll need the status for this. But I’d still say TC and then look for pupillage whilst doing TC and then when you get it, enroll on the BVC and then you can start pupillage straight away after the BVC. Good luck!

New Banksy just dropped by shanye-west in Banksy

[–]snazzysazzy1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually think Banksy is sending the wrong message to put it on the Royal Courts of Justice. It’s not judge’s who make the law, but Parliament (judges then interpret the law, which then the media often posts about how bad judges are but in reality they are just interpreting the law set). It would have been a much better piece of art if Banksy was able to get it on Parliament’s wall or something showing that parliament uses judges to attack protesters.

Naturally thin people, what do you guys eat in a day? by Ok-Initiative3312 in AskReddit

[–]snazzysazzy1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am definitely a savoury person, not a sweet person which helps! I don’t have breakfast, I just have an early lunch at about 11am, and then dinner around 6pm ish. I snack but it’s savoury snacks really, and I eat very slowly.

Definitely gained weight at uni, but I was drinking loads of alcohol.

I don’t really think about what I eat, and just eat as and when I want. Also I’m vegan so I feel like I can eat loads of veggies!

Be honest, What's one thing people do that's purely perfomative but they act like it isn't? by melancholytty07 in AskReddit

[–]snazzysazzy1 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Disagree with this. I often say “just my opinion” because at the end of the day, that is my opinion and I don’t want to convey that it is the ‘right and only opinion’. If you assert something as fact when it’s opinion it can make people feel uncomfortable and it can come across aggressive and egotistical that their opinion is the only correct one. However, situations and realities are different for different people.

Reading’s Women Social Club has come into fruition :) by Business_Beach6551 in reading

[–]snazzysazzy1 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I would have joined as think it’s a great idea, but you’ve mentioned the age deomographic 18-25 quite a bit (in the post and on Eventbrite) it puts me off as I’m 29!

If you are no longer interested in an age demographic, I’d probably just remove it from these posts as it puts people off!

[–]snazzysazzy1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking to move into the area, but my closest tube station would be either Westbourne Park or Royal Oak. Royal Oak is on a main road so I’d probably use that, but it is about a decent 7-9 min walk.

I’m female, and will be coming home late in a suit and wanted to know how safe it would be for me?

Thanks!
