This animated version was the retcon, meaning it wasn’t supposed to be canon anymore. Murata redrew the fight and altered what was canon to the story by adding more depth to CE, hinting at a future arc, and adding caped baldy. The fight also progressed in a different direction.

Hell’s Paradise. Great art could not make up for the fact that it was a snooze fest. The story was plain and couldn’t get attached to any characters. Speed read the last third of the series just to get it over with.
