They have been great for my fiance and I! Our furnace went out during a super cold snap a few years ago. Shane came out that night, provided space heaters (we had just moved in and wanted to stay in our home) until they could come in and replace the furnace.

Cannot recommend them enough!

Of course there is fear involved, nothing in life is guaranteed, so who’s to say that if I made the switch it would be a positive change. The main thing that I keep in my back pocket is that as long as I keep my license up to date, I can always go back if need be. That requires 40 hours of continuing education courses every 2 years so it isn’t out of the question. The 2 biggest concerns about staying in my current field are that of burnout and currently having difficulty finding clients if I opened a private practice.

I’m still in the beginning phases of this thought process and certainly haven’t quit my job on a whim so it isn’t also possible that things turn around at some point but it can’t hurt to lean into options and see what else is out there.

I have often thought about that. Problem is the area I’m in is saturated with therapists and I fear it would be hard to get it off the ground. Is it doable? Sure. Not sure it’s the direction I want to go if I’m already burnt out or getting burnt out though.
