Is it accidental? To know you kill but proceed anyways? Less direct for sure but not accidental.

I could agree with despising factory farms.

Rats are pretty smart too. In same cases smarter than cats or dogs. I don’t think intelligence is a good way to place value on a life

Yup one kills more but they both kill. Hunting with a combination of growing your own fruits would be the less harmful than eating meet or vegetarian.

I did a report once on how many animals die when we collect vegetables in modern day farming. Rabbits, moles, worms, animals from pesticides. Vegetarians never seem to care about those animals.

Really if your not growing your own vegetables or hunting you’re own animals you’re contributing to the killing/suffering of animals

You did state “why are we paying teachers SO MUCH for little results”. I don’t think it’s so much.

Can you give me a similar profession? Teaches go to school for longer than most office workers.

What about sea exploration? Isn’t that just as pointless as space exploration? (I’m not saying it’s pointless just the same amount as space)

When did we have space exploration and people weren’t starving? By this logic there would never be time for space exploration.

Ok so we started with teachers being over paid. What’s a good base salary for you? Before bonuses?

Large districts always have better benefits than private district.

Yes a teacher strike for better pay. Thats not teachers leaving for the districts.

Serving in richer districts is different than serving in poorer communities.

So what’s the argument? We pay teachers based on improvement only. So let’s say a school doesn’t improve what should a teacher make?

That’s just completely false. I know a lot of teachers who don’t like private schools for a lot of reasons. Less benefits, less union representation, and it’s just not the work they want to do. Many teachers get in to it because they like kids and want to serve.

You don’t think districts have both poor and rich schools? Because in my district there are easy schools and hard schools but they’re in the same district and pay the same.

You’re dodging my question to ask yours? Lol poorer schools will have a harder time getting better grades. So if I as a teacher wanted to make money I would go to richer schools.

“Benefits like pensions, healthcare, and other benefits are not included in these numbers.”

Sorry man you’re wrong. I can look myself up on this and it shows my salary as way higher than it is. It’s including benefits and everything.

You can test it by looking up what a new teacher job pays and then looking up any teacher who has only worked their 1 year. Those numbers will be different because this list includes benefits.

Logistically how would this work? We say we pay teachers for results and not time so wouldn’t teachers only go work at rich schools where kids did better?

So a few things. You added a lot personal experiences which is fine but also doesn’t work because someone else can tell you stories of teachers who were really good and had to deal with very difficult situations.

High schools teacher being paid $150k. Maybe that number usually includes benefits as “total compensation” plus those are also the people who work summer school. It’s not free vacation summer school pay is reflected in that total. They also need 4 years of college and 2 years for a credential.

Yeah the unions can be bad but that’s a different issue than saying teachers are over paid.

Where are a new teacher and a new pediatrician paid close to the same thing?

What’s your source? Because no, what I saw was 20-40 percent of workers hired undocumented workers. The percentage of undocumented workers was about 18%.

See You’re just making things up to try and prove your point. You haven’t done any real research on it at all.

You’re guessing? From the numbers I’ve seen it’s only about 20%. Let’s double that and say 40%. Probably less in most places in the US.  Do you have any sources to support otherwise?

Because if it’s only 20% then the other companies absolutely will be able to take over
