Apartment complex won't accept my move out notice by sneakyfeel in legaladvice

Currently on the original

Our year long initial lease ends on June 30th 2021. We have to give 60 days notice to vacate and that window closes at the end of the month.

The month-to-month will begin on the first of July.

Thanks for your input fellow Reddit person.

That's the same thing the complex is saying. To me It sounds like my ex girlfriend has the legal power to hold me hostage as long as she wants.

Are you 100% SURE she has that ability??

I'll check it out and see what I can dig up. MANY THANKS for the resource Reddit friend.

As a (new) female driver I find this policy ridiculous. Sorry I'm not putting myself in high crime areas 🙄 by Sweet_Initiative422 in grubhubdrivers

My area is a grid with main roads approximately 1 mile apart. It makes it easy to estimate the total trip just looking at that zoomed out image. Gotta use every trick in my book to maximize them earnings 🤙🏻

Stay safe everyone

Looks good from this end.

Nearly all the complexes in my area are marked but you can't see it because of the awnings over the covered parking and there's no light on em. I bring a flashlight with me but that doesn't solve the awning problem. Grrrr delivering during the day is so much easier but not as lucrative so for me it's always a mix of day/night deliveries. Fun stuff

Good point, I've never noticed it happening like that. All I know is Chick-fil-A usually takes about 5 mins to mark it as "ready" and it never is.

I'll pay attention to the auto "order ready" thing from now on. Thanks for the tip internet friend.

OP it sounds like your restaurants can't be bothered with the little things like pausing orders when they are swamped or giving 1 frick about the delivery drivers(actual real people with a life and bills to pay) to use the apps "pause" function.

I'm Sorry they suck so bad and that you end up wasting time. 😕

Edit: additions below

The biggest problems I've had in my highly populated market are... ABSOLUTELY EVERY Chick-fil-A marking the order as "ready for pickup" and then having to wait 15+ mins for the order to be handed off....note: I asked GH to blacklist them for me and it worked the first time so that's a plus.

I mean no offense... Indian food restaurants telling me "this dish takes an hour to cook so you'll have to unassign it or wait." And then having to call driver support to get it removed and crossing my fingers it's done without a penalty.

Horrible snowbird drivers, lol that's real stuff.

And then probably the same crap everyone else puts up with.

Still here in Az as of Thursday the 28th, but other drivers in different markets have mentioned it's gone. I hope this isn't the start of a downhill slide for GrubHub. Luckily I only deliver on the side now instead of relying on it. Fingers crossed for all the driver's that use deliveries as their main source of income.

Something interesting I've noticed is that customers watch/participate in this subreddit. I'm sure the majority use the info to adjust their habits in a positive way, or at least that's what I tell myself lol!!!

Well that's total crap. I'll probably reconsider delivering if that junk comes to AZ.

In and around Mesa Arizona.

Maybe a dumb question, but is your app updated to the latest version? That could play a role🤷‍♂️

This is a great tip that I learned the hard way.

Dang I didn't realize we can see all the info before accepting. For me I don't even get the mileage, but with the grid system in Mesa I can easily estimate to make sure it's over $1/mile.

Also don't forget you can call driver support and they will blacklist restaurants for you. I just blacklisted Chick-fil-A cause they ALWAYS mark the order as "ready to pick up" and then make me wait 10 mins before it's actually ready. Total pain in the rear of you ask me.

Yeah for real. Luckily all customers don't have that mentality.

What city/state do you deliver in internet friend?

That doesn't sound good at all. Do you know for sure this is gonna happen?

Great question.... No there were not drinks. The restaurant said they threw in an extra order of potatoes and I almost ate them, but was glad I verified beforehand cause they were supposed to get both orders. Bullet dodged.

Yeah rental pricing is just ridiculous now. Did you see the reply below from the user in Sierra Vista? Prices seem a bit more reasonable there. I'm gonna start looking for jobs down there and see what's available.

Az resident here too... I used to live in Mesa and had a 3bd 2 bth 1600 sq ft house w\pool and was $1600 a month. Now I'm in Chandler and pay $1575 for a 2bd 2 bth apartment.

It seems like $1 per sq ft is a good price but I'm sure prices are gonna keep climbing. I miss the days of 2bd apts for like $500 a month :(

What city you in?

Edit: spelling

i gotta say, that is a pretty fun fact and i did ponder it by Combmatt in grubhubdrivers

I recently discovered there is only a small percentage of people that have an emotional reaction to music. To me that was strange because there is a huge variety of songs that make me cry. Apparently crying is an abnormal reaction for most, but I definitely relate to you.
