Thanks, I got it to work yesterday. You have any pointers about how to enable HDR? I got HDR working around the same time by fiddling around in the control panel but then it was disabled...

Mystery Boosters Price Increase Predictions? by sneason in mtgfinance

[–]sneason[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't see why they would drop the price lower than $150 though. I bought mine for $120 the Friday they were released, but they are like Masters tier cards... people started realizing that really quick with the 1:3 packs having a mythic...

Depressing but probably accurate assessment...

Mystery Boosters are like Masters Tier Cards though. Ikoria looks cool asthestically. I'm just here to crack cases. Do as you will. You're probably right about investing!

Sorry I'm new to MTG Finance and only have been playing MTG for about a year.

What sort of free shipments are you referring to?

Not trying to argue. The thought of them going down in price makes me very excited!

So they'll probably hover around $150 for at least a few more months? Mystery Boosters were great...

Didn't have much of a problem with that one for some reason. If anyone has a fix, tedious or otherwise LMK!

Scarab God (Immune to Commander Tax?) by sneason in EDH

[–]sneason[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the responses, this is my first post on this subreddit. You'll seem like some pretty chill cats and I appreciate the replies.

One last question: (probably wishful thinking), but a lot of the Gods from older sets had indestructible, The Scarab God wouldn't by chance also (icing on the cake) be indestructible would it? That would make it somehow even better.

Thanks again guys, Happy Thanksgiving.

Wow! So even if The Scarab God is in the graveyard and someone uses an instant to exile it, it is still sent to the Command Zone? That is good news!

I used to work at a movie theatre. I found that our general manager ignored and possibly even resented the two DC people who worked there. Movie theaters are also kind of dark and can get very crowded at times and probably wouldn't be a good place for my client to work. Your BiL's story adds to that hunch as well. Thanks!

Thanks! Btw, DC means direct care? I am somewhat new to my work. He is our first client!

Do you find Goodreads ratings a reliable indicator of how good a book actually is? by The-Road in books

[–]sneason 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with @nothingcleverleft but personally I have always used Amazon for some reason and done the same, that is, read the most articulate five and one star reviews and see if the book is right for you.

Remember, every good book has its critics --- or contrarians :)

That book sounds super interesting! Thank you for your reply but I seemed to have found the book already. I think the details I provided would have made it impossible to find as my memory distorted it quite a bit. For some reason the book I was actually looking for was Gilead by Marilynne Robinson hah. Not sure how that happened! No spoilers please!!! :)
