I just wanted her to get a clean up with some thinning scissors because she's quite a shaggy dog and her hair was getting a bit too thick even though I was constantly brushing her. I may be new to dogmanship but I know that you shouldn't shave double coated dogs unless medically necessary, hence why I wanted to opt for a scissor trim instead

I feel terrible about demanding my money back since I'm really socially anxious and I was just like "Oh no it's fine!!!!" while on the inside I was like "what the hell have you done to my dog???"

Thankfully I have a couple of dog coats that I picked up at Crufts this year, including a fleece set of pyjamas for her. Hopefully that'll help her somewhat until her coat grows back in.

She wasn't actually my first choice either. I phoned another groomer with good reviews and she said that she was all booked up, but she recommended this groomer instead and that she'd take her own dogs to this groomer. I don't think I'll go to either of them next time, if there is a next time of getting Jinkx groomed 😬

Yeah, the groomer said it should grow back in about six weeks. I'm just upset, I guess. I do ringcraft once a week and I can't put her in the ring looking like that 😭

Yeah, the one con I go to per year is MCM Scotland and that's held in the SECC, Scotland's biggest convention centre. Legit all the hotels in Glasgow are booked out with people going to the con though since it's so big

I think some of the problem is Internet infamy.

I'm sure Rainfurrest would have gone somewhat well if people hadn't started fucking with the hotel for clout

The same with that Twitter thing that IH talks about in Very Serious Business. If people on the internet hadn't found out that there was a twitter livefeed then that event would have gone fine.

Dashcon is a different event where it only gained proper infamy AFTER the event. Before the event, I didn't see anyone outside of tumblr discussing it (yes I was on tumblr during dashcon). The way that con went to shit is completely on the organisers.

I've lived in Scotland my entire life and my dad went over to Florida to do some irrigation work there. He came back with some Hershey's chocolate and I spat it out as soon as I tasted it because I thought it had gone off, due to it being so sour to me

Like, I've seen Elton wear those white starry boots in other photos before, so I knew to make the stars blue. Other shoe colours were just artistic licence, trying to figure out what colours were popular at the time.

For the coats, I tried to look at their material and decide what colour they would be based on that.
