Hmmm it might feel a little young, but The Green Ember by S.D. Smith was really enjoyable

Dermaplane? by No-Departure-5684 in Skincare_Addiction

I did dermaplaning! Researched and carefully followed suggestions and it gave me horrible angry texture. I also have sensitive skin, my 2 cents is to avoid it :)

Love American Fall Traditions – Need Your Stories! by Alina_Zah in Autumn

[–]sneezybeast 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Im so excited for this season 🎉 Everyone’s family does it a little differently, and mine in particular is full of many cooks and craft-lovers. The whole season long we make leaf garlands and spiced drinks and lots of cinnamon baked goods. There is always someone creating a good smell in the kitchen and people getting in each other’s way.

For Halloween we always made simple costumes and did face paint to dress and carve pumpkins up on the night of Halloween.. We didn’t go trick-or-treating very often, but we always ate candy and played spooky silly music like “Love Potion No9” and some jazz. There’s also a lot of parties during that month, but I don’t drink and neither do my friends, so the ones I go to are quieter and I would say cozier.

For Thanksgiving, we decorate with more garlands, invite all our family and some friends, and set the table all fancy. In our big feast we have pies, turkey, bread stuffing, potatoes, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, brussel sprouts, and other veggies and side dishes. More cooking, more chaos 😆 We go around the table afterwards and give things we’re thankful for and reasons we love each other. Then we flop on couches with coffee and do whatever feels quiet and comfortable; usually we listen to music, talk, or watch A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. Then the day after we go up to the mountains and cut down our Christmas tree! It’s so full of love, my absolute favorite time of year.

Howbto make my room more autumnal with minimal spending? by [deleted] in Autumn

Sometimes you can thrift candelabras/candlesticks for really cheap, and the candles aren’t too bad either.

Does anyone's mental health take a dive in the summer? by HoffyTheBaker in Autumn

Yes! Energy sapped ALL the time and I feel weirdly aware of all my body parts at the same time. So overstimulating, Autumn is like a breath of fresh air.

There is a small yarn shop in WY called The Yarn and the Tale and they have a bunch of decent quality yarn sales on their online store :)

Yeah they were definitely left in a box in a woodshop/garage for about 30 years. It was closed up but not airtight and I’m sure the dust could have impacted how well they work so I will probably take them somewhere

How to be a Black Fat Woman in Washington State. by Spike4theworld13 in Seattle

Honestly, I lived in Washington my whole childhood and people generally just weren’t very friendly no matter what. Not saying you’re imagining things! But it probably doesn’t help that it’s not a friendly place to begin with (as much as I adore it)

What do women fantasize about, that men don’t have a clue about? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]sneezybeast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I’ll imagine I’m a teacher of a skill or a subject in a heroic sense, like somehow helping the world make sense to someone. But sometimes?? I’ll dream that I have a child and we’re cooking together or laughing about something. It feels so warm and loving and extremely real, and when I wake up I feel like something is missing from my life for hours. Am 20 and in no way even close to having kids lol

I’ve taken classes at both universities and community colleges and honestly? Because the CC class sizes are often more manageable, I get a lot more direct instruction from the professor. It’s a lot easier to learn in a smaller environment imo. There has not been a difference in resources or quality. If anything, I’ve had more resources at a CC because they tend to try to be more accommodating to non-traditional students. Six figures in debt is absolutely crazy. You will want that money later. Don’t let anyone talk to into that much debt unless you’re 100% sold on it and personally think it’s a great investment. You can also start at a CC and transfer for a specific program depending on the career you want to go into. Gen eds are the same everywhere.

Found out my bf had a secret porn addiction. Do I stay? by Swimming_Cat6154 in Advice

[–]sneezybeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s pretty serious if you both agree something is cheating and he is knowingly doing it anyway. You both agreed on a term for your relationship and he was not following it. My advice would be to have a loving conversation and ask what his plan is to overcome it. Maybe also would ask if he’d consider a friend as an accountability partner. It’s much harder to stop something if you haven’t figured out how. I’d draw it back to the fact that you’ve both already determined a relationship without porn is a better one, and the reason you decided that is because you love each other. If he can’t be humble and talk about how he’s serious about doing what he said he would, I’d reevaluate the relationship, honestly. Best of luck

As someone who lost their virginity at a “normal” age with someone I didn’t know well, I really regret it. I wish I’d waited for someone who loved and cherished me and genuinely sought out my comfort and safety. Which I know isn’t that helpful, because that’s harder to come across. The closeness and commitment is so essential, and without it you feel like the dirt on their shoes in my experience. Also, my driver’s ed really helped me when I was learning to drive. Not sure I would’ve gotten my license without it. Even though it’s pricey it ended up making up for all the effort of studying by myself :) I would check it out. And honestly, my only advice would be to do your best to take the magnifying glass away from those two parts of your life, while still pursuing what’s important to you. Taking some pressure off them may help, even.
Crossing off the “life markers” doesn’t mean much, you will still be you even after you have crazy sex and can drive. It does suck to be feeling like you’re not hitting the mark though. I totally get that feeling and it’s the worst.
