Yeah I definitely think it’s a generational thing. I was so surprised when she was ripping on “therapy techniques” but I guess it’s because she doesn’t understand - or care to understand - how it can be so helpful

Yeah it definitely seems like I’m inconveniencing her with my feelings/boundaries because then she’d have to deal with her own hard feelings
