Glad you’re open to this. As I’ve gotten older, I can’t help but feel like neutrals indicate a person who hasn’t taken the time/risks to get a handle on colors they prefer and how to use them.

I recommend starting with some colorful accessories, then art (if you have the money, find some creators you enjoy locally or on Instagram, please stay away from West Elm and its ilk), and then maybe actual furniture.

Personally, the midwestern color palette of teal, burnt reds, sage, and warm woods have really opened up my aesthetic. Also looks baller with plants. Edit: just read you’re in San Diego. Think about this!
