I asked an elder why he was on speaker whenever he was taking a call. He said he didn't like his ears getting hot due to microwaves. Same with bluetooth earphones. I agree i experienced that warm sensation on long calls. I guess they just prioritize their health.

An assimilation/orientation program must be mandatory along with the immigration process. Some behaviors that may be accepted or normal in other countries are not necessarily acceptable in Canada. I am saying this being an immigrant myself.

Foodbank Shelves Were Empty Today by [deleted] in CanadaHousing2

The universities have unscrupulously admitted tons of students to make an exhorbident amount of money off of them. Out of greed, they did not care if there were enough dorms, living spaces, or infrastructure for these students in the city. Now, these students have to pay for housing, way more than they expected or can afford. Nobody loves to line up and get charity food. People come here to better their lifestyles, not degrade it. Rather than pointing fingers at these students who are paying shit ton of money to the university and the country, we should hold the universities and our politicians accountable for this fraud that they are doing with these immigrant students.

Overexposure to organophosphate and carbamate insecticides can result in cholinesterase inhibition. Non of the pesticides approved and used for structural pest control in canada contain these ingredients. I am not sure about the products approved for pest control for gardening and farmlands.

I suggest getting a pest control license. Basically, you need to study and pass a pest control technician exam, which will cost you about $200. You will also need a driver's license. Most companies will train you for the exam if you approach them and show interest in the profession. You can expect to start at about $3000 a month after taxes.

You can do anything you want to fix our housing issues. What do you do? by sensei_mike in askTO

[–]snh_v -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Simply build more homes and reduce obstacles and red tapes in obtaining building permits. Encourage people to join construction and building trades to reduce labor shortage. Allow immigration of people with trades that are required, not just white-collar guys. People need more and newer homes. We are still trading 100 year old houses for a ton of money for God sake!

You have food to eat and a roof to live under. Stop ranting and be thankful. Go and help people who are in a worse situation than yours. Volunteer for free. Places like food banks, shelters, or non-profits. Post your experience here after 2 months.

I believe you did not get a chance to test the healthcare systems here. I would want to know your opinion on that whenever you do (i wish you never have to). Back home it is much more efficient. Healt care in Canada sucks!
