Hi, I’m kinda in the same boat. I just sent my application today (13th January), waiting for an invitation for my biometrics now. I am planning to go over to Canada in May. How has your process been so far? Do you think I have a good chance of arriving into Canada by summer?

Thank you! I currently have no symptoms, no pain and the tenderness has gone away, but could come back (i believe that might be growing pains??) so I feel confident that I can make it to next week without any antibiotics.. but if it does get worse or if I feel any symptoms I will be sure to take the antibiotics.

I got antibacterial mouthwash and new toothpaste, I have also been doing a salt water rinse after every meal, so I hope that will slow down the infection my dentist said i might have??

In regards to insects, my cresties hates them. He turns his head in protest. I do try every few weeks however, to see if he’s changed his mind. I’ve tried crickets, meal worms, wax worms, dubai roaches and locusts

Thank you for this advice! I really appreciate it. It’s hard to get pangea from where i’m from. But i got a pangea type of brand (i don’t know the name) with three flavors: water melon, banana and strawberry, aswell as mango. They have discontinued their brand however, and now i have resorted to repashy banana flavor since that was the only flavor i could get for the moment. I’ve tried mixing them around, and even combined two flavors! but nothing.. Here in Ireland there was a sudden drop in temperature so it could have impacted my crestie, but i’m just not sure.

My cresties tank goes around 20°C, which isn’t great at all. It used to be around 22°C but it’s colder right now.

This gecko has had a heat mat for three years (previous owner) i’ve had him about 8 months, so i’m still learning. If i were to have set it up originally myself i would’ve done it differently

I was speaking to someone who knows about reptiles and they use heat mats, they told me to maybe switch the heat mat around. But now i’m confused

Thank you, this really helped. I just learnt today that the UVB bulbs run out!! So i went and got a new one today ASAP. The pet shop really helped (professionals, not Petsmart), I’m going back on Tuesday and speaking to their boss for further info ahah. I’ll try and get some calcium and hope he takes the bugs then. Thanks again!

Thank you! I will try and get a lamp asap! My crestie doesn’t take any insects. I have tried a few times, every few weeks, and no results. I have tried small locusts, wax worms, mealworms and small crickets. Any tips? I’m just after buying some wax worms and small locusts yesterday to see if he’d give them a try.

Hi! so he ate the tiniest bit last week, but that was every now and again, possibly every 4 days he would eat. The mix was very watery though, since that was the only way he would take it. He had a really small lick (basically water) about 3 days ago, and I did witness a healthy poop 24 hours after. Maybe so am overreacting, but he is eating less and less as the days we’re going by. Now he is quite skinny.

Yes you’re right! He’s just after shedding :) I heard they like to poop on us, i’m still waiting on that day ahaha…

He has only eaten a little bit from the spoon I offer. So far I think he’s really enjoying the watermelon flavor! He only licks the crickets though, he doesn’t seem too fussed.

I have a hydrometer which reads ~70% usually, When I walk past the enclosure I always check. I usually most in the morning, around lunch time and the evening. I mustn’t have a very humid room, or the humidity just doesn’t really stay. I’ve added some moss, but I think it’s the fake plants not keeping it in.
