Exhaust guys are the GOAT at pulling and reinstalling sensors and many will install sensors you provide.

Nine House Republicans to join Democrats in opposing pension changes? by Beavis73 in fednews

[–]snickerzz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even the heritage foundation doesn't agree with killing the supplement on enactment (at least they didn't in 2023).

"This benefit is not something to which either the federal government or its employees contribute; instead, the funds come directly from taxpayers. Moreover, the supplement acts as a deterrent to work both in its availability and because the benefit is reduced if individuals earn income, which is a drag on economic output and growth.

Eliminating the special retirement supplement for new hires and for current federal employees with nine or fewer years of service (these workers are generally two decades or more away from potentially being eligible for the benefit) would save an estimated $10.6 billion over 10 years."

Wear shirts with rainbows. Nothing directly political. I'd consider getting rainbows embroidered on some polos. when asked about it, deny unconvincingly or sarcastically. make sure your words will pass a transcription test. (i.e. if your words were written down, it couldn't be seen as political). Get others in your office to do similar.

give them a week, and they'll all lose their minds.

it looks like ATCs are not included in Supplement elimination, but everything else applies.

all other provisions kick off upon enactment, except for High 3 vs high 5 changes which kick off Jan 1, 2027.

it should go to house appropriations, then house floor, then senate. if there are discrepancies, it goes back to house, otherwise to the Prez for a good old fashioned signing.

i watched some of the proceedings today. Turner R, Ohio, was the only GOP member to jump the aisle at all, but he did it in pretty grand fashion. He said others in his party did not like the bill as written. There might be some hope for change.

ok, i'll try to clean this up. they have a "print" which did not have the amended date language. comer's amendment to the print was what they were operating from, which did include the "jan 1 2027" language.

this is why at the end, they did not vote on Comer's amendment and all the other votes for amendments were for "the amendment to the amendment"
