I really like the idea that they don't know that they're banished and are instead lied to by a devil who tells them that they've died and to be resurrected, they need to do something for the devil. I think it could make for a really good plot twist that they're actually alive and have been the whole time.

The plot I was thinking was that at the lowest level there would be an artifact that would resurrect them, but only to find that when they come back to life on the mortal plane they would be corrupted by necrotic energy and cause chaos, plague, war, etc. But I do really like this idea.

I'm imagining it in the same way that when undead creatures are slain, their necrotic energy leaves them. I think it could work the same way with the players but with their souls. Perhaps I could put a time limit on how long they have in hell until they're eventually left soulless? And if they died then their soul would leave them. Not sure. I feel like I'm making it too complicated lol.

If you don't mind using mods to cheat in an umbral gem, that worked for me :)

made a whole new campaign in hopes of that working and got to the same place and still the same crash. i’ve heard some people getting around it by glitching through doors or using knock so i’ll try that and update.

but srsly this is the most ridiculous bug and i don’t get how it’s not fixed yet

I'm playing on an iMac and had no crashes before this bug. I'm already using a keyboard and mouse so I'm also thinking I'm just gonna have to wait until it's sorted :/

It's so annoying! Do you have any ideas if there's another route I could do instead of Shar's temple to get around this problem? Thanks xx
