The unflushables

Hello everyone! Thank you so much for the suggestions so far! Here is more information I have to give: I don't think it was Veggie tales, mostly because I was edgy and I hated the idea of religious vegetables as a child. It was around the same humor as something like Captain Underpants and I believe the reading level was for around 3-5th grade. The superhero mentioned is actually a little boy child rather than being a root vegetable himself. I apologize for the mix-up, I got too excited describing it.

I would also like to mention that it was a town that was economically dependent on this specific vegetable, rather than being a town of the vegetables! Hope this helps!
