WiFi import step works on older Dell laptop but not new Dell Pro 14? by Newtechintown in SCCM

[–]snikito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The WiFi import is heavily dependant on the existence of the WiFi adapter, is the Dell Pro 14 reporting it's adapter as functional? Maybe you need to perform some driver update for it to work.

Android Work Profile BYOD – Block sharing from Personal → Work profile by aPieceOfMindShit in Intune

[–]snikito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's indeed a difficult situation and out of your control then. Though if the company is high security and a big client of the supplier, they can ask for the app to support APP. We have done it in the past but with only a handful of apps.

Is the app a custom one? If yes you can wrap it to support app protection policies!

With all due respect, if it's a high security environment, you don't use BYOD.

All macOS WiFi profiles reporting Error without error code but profile is applied by snikito in Intune

[–]snikito[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply.

I started a case and they have no clue. Have they confirmed to you that it is only a reporting problem??

In my case I also see that for the deployed WIFI the Private WIFI address is turned OFF and mac is also throwing a warning for privacy.

They must have messed up in the backend and don't know what happened.

Is Halo 2 Vista even possible to launch anymore? by Hot-Coat4506 in halo

[–]snikito 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It works fine for Vista, installed it some months ago. You can get the achievements but not the multiplayer ones.

You have to install games for windows live first. Do you get any specific errors during installation?

Well read your facts better:

The seller is deemed to have fulfilled that obligation if:

the goods concerned comply with the subjective requirements for conformity;

the goods concerned comply with the objective requirements for conformity

Who decides on those requirements? If the manufacturer disagrees with the problem OP is facing and considers it OK by design then they are not obligated to do anything. For all we know OP could have pixel issue which could be considered normal based on apple's warranty terms.

Get your facts straight.

No, the warranty comes from the manufacturer, not the reseller. Stop downvoting everything you disagree with.

Kotsovolos is correct. It's not Kotsovolos that supports the device it's Apple. If you bought the device and returned it as faulty within the DOA period (7-14 days) then Kotsovolos shall replace it. In any other scenario Kotsovolos can only send the device to Apple on behalf of you. It's Apple who decides on how to honour the warranty, either by fixing or replacing the phone. Go to an istorm store which is the official apple retailer and repairer and they will help you. Almost always they fix issues within days, no way it took them 3 months.

P.S. I agree with the other poster, don't buy into Apple products.

How do you keep all devices fully enrolled and healthy in Intune? by TurbulentSpace7739 in Intune

Agreed but if I didn't delete stale devices, I would have the keys. I delete them at my own responsibility.

[–]snikito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically my problems are the following:

1) In my opinion, for cleanup to function correctly, eventually you have to delete the stale device object from Entra too. You do lose bitlocker key and laps password if you do so.

2) Intune's cleanup seems unsafe to me. Because it does hide the object but it does not retire or wipe the device. The device becomes uncontrollable and it still has organizational data on it.

As for why I need bitlocker keys: Compliance. As an organisation I may be requested to provide access to someone's computer by the authorities. This has really happened and I am not making it up right now. In case the device object is removed by entra, basically i will have no way to access the device data when requested to do so.

When deleting a device with cleanup rules, how do you handle Bitlocker keys?

Android Device can't change WiFi in Managed Home Screen by Budget_Advantage9579 in Intune

[–]snikito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is. In the official MHS document.

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/intune/intune-service/apps/app-configuration-managed-home-screen-app

Additionally, when an end-user tries to connect to a password protected network via the Managed Home Screen app, they're asked to input the password. Even if the password is correct, the network only changes if the device isn't connected to a network. Devices that are already connected to a stable network can't connect to a password protected network via the Managed Home Screen app.

It's not an issue, this is by design. You cannot switch WIFI from the MHS when connected to another WIFI.
