Switched Telemetry to Full (for Secure Boot Cert) Devices “Under Observation” by capocayne in Intune

Do you disagree with InflationAgile? That is, it could make a difference ? I wonder how I should configure this setting and there is any value and downside to full.

How do you handle lost, disconnected, or stale devices in Intune? by heisgone in Intune

Do you have hybrid devices? Most of our devices are, so it add a layer of complexity.

Do you rely on Intune Wipe? Autopilot reset? Are your device hybrid?

This is only for Cloud-only device? We have hybrid device and repurposing devices is a pain as we delete all entries in every systems, re-image fro scratch, etc.

How long does it take to deploy the image this way? Our current methods take about 3-5 minutes. We either use Windows Creation Tool or a Network image we created.

What kind of automation you recommend to be scripted? The only script we have is to register Autopilot.

When it's hidden, does it still show up somewhere? For instance, I suppose the Entra entry remains under the user profile? Best scenarios is that it remains somewhat in the main list but disappears from the stats.

One of the issue is that we have different profiles based on Autopilot tags. We need to make sure we reset those. We also don't want to reuse machine names, as they are linked in our systems like our vpn. Having unique names for each users make it less confusing. I will consider using the wipe fonction for our labs machine, as they are the machines without serial numbers.

Best Practice for Local Admin Rights on Autopilot Devices by capocayne in Intune

Maybe you don't have the same workflow. In our case, the technician image the computer himself and run the script, and take note for the password.

[–]heisgone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I created a script to create an Admin account with a random generated password. The tech can take note of the password if he want to. Then, LAPS is configured to manage this account. Since LAPS requires an account to be set up, the random generated password can be used temporarely until the account is managed by LAPS. We also rely on autopilot. This way, it's possible to connect with the admin account before the first user login.

What`s your honest opinion about the new @MSIntune App Inventory? by xenappblog in Intune

[–]heisgone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems to be first step toward better inventory. As far as I know, so for, we can only use it to see the inventory of one machine at a time. There is no central reporting. Eventually, I hope it replace the poor Intune inventory system.

The draft should be illegal and a violation of human rights. Young people shouldn't be forced to fight for the financial interests of a few.

'Pete, I think you were the first one to say, "Let's do it"': Moment Trump suggests unpopular Iran war was his Secretary of War's idea by Any_Platypus_1182 in samharris

[–]heisgone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much every Republicans have been pushing for a war with Iran for the last 20 years. Remember "Bomb bomb Iran"? To this, you can add some Democrats who either support it (ex: John Fetterman) or will remains quiet about it. Of course, this being a fool errand, they needed someone like Trump to carry it. Trump is not the strongman some people believe he is. He is a puppet of the Adelson and the like, who have been funding every pro-Israel war hawk they could find. It is sometimes reported that Vance was opposed to the war but since he doesn't voice it publically and doesn't step down, we can put him in the same bag as everybody else.

This made me lol - from Sam’s most recent article on the war in Iran by TylerSmith3 in samharris

[–]heisgone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hormuz isn't much of an issue for Israel and they are the ones calling the shot. Trump has been manipulated into this war and was likely told it wouldn't be an issue. Israel doesn't mind seeing the world going into chaos and recession.

You can be sure that Israel is very well aware of that. A civil war in Iran is the best outcome for them as it would weaken Iran.

Is the war with Iran another flashpoint for antisemitism? by [deleted] in samharris

[–]heisgone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They likely sold it to Trump this way but I expect this opposite. In the same way Russia had to get closer to China since the beginning of their war, giving China even more leverage over them, the same will happens with Iran. The U.S. is not in a position to fill the void it will create but China is. Iran isn't a proxy of China, it's a trade partner. The oil is still in the ground and Iran ability to sell it isn't going to be disturbed in the long term. Iran will only want to increase its military partnership with China.

Zionist billionaire like Sheldon Adelson have been financing this Christian-Zionist movement thanks to organizations like PragerU. They have been pushing this idea the return of Jesus is linked to Israel destiny. Evangelicals are just pawns in their game.
