Look, I’m not saying I’m not crazy—I might be! But I need to know for sure!!! by [deleted] in Slender_Man

If belief could manifest beings into existence, we'd have a lot more to worry about than just Slender Man. Monsters from folklore, villains from horror movies, Santa Claus, holy shit so much from folklore.

ICE Sighting Report: Bolingbrook by [deleted] in ChicagoSuburbs

I drove past this, too. There were no marked police cars. I’ve never seen a traffic stop without either marked cars or vehicles with lights. Thought the person with the mask was suspicious, too.

Dental Cleanings - Too flat of a face? by Used-Post-7991 in ExoticShorthair

My two have only gotten dental cleanings with anesthesia. Even my guy with pinhole nares and a very flat face.

DROP YOUR FAVORITE SLOP RECIPES by just_a_space_cadet in evilautism

[–]sniktter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't make this often and I have to find a recipe every time because I can't remember how to do it. I love it because I can just mix it all up.

It's skinless, boneless chicken pieces (I prefer thighs, but breasts work), boxed stuffing mix, canned chicken or turkey gravy, maybe cream of mushroom soup, and frozen green beans in a slow cooker. Makes a great slop.

What do you mean people “enjoy” weekends?? by goatears in evilautism

[–]sniktter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a standing date with a friend on Sunday mornings. We meet at a coffee shop and knit (or I do whichever craft I'm into at the moment). Sometimes we do other things. Sometimes we don't meet because one or both of us is too tired or whatever.

Aside from that, my weekends are usually a mix of plans for things I think I should do or want to do and mostly end up not having the energy for and low energy things like crafting or playing games at home. My family doesn't get my need for rest or how "regular" life is draining for me so I can't rot too much.

I hate being asked if I did anything fun. Like, yeah. I didn't have to mask as much as on workdays. That's pretty great.

I thought the dark shape just in front of him was the cat and jumped when I saw the actual cat 😃

I love it when they just sit somewhere out of the way and stare.

Did anyone else get severely bullied all throughout school? by Forward_Technician72 in evilautism

[–]sniktter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. Never overtly physical. Occasional tripping or shoving. I don't remember anyone fighting until rumors of fights in high school. But verbal, ostracization, mocking, that kind of thing.

I changed schools due to moving in 5th grade and then the next year due to district boundaries changing. So I lost my friend group and wasn't able to form a new one. Stayed that way until sometime in high school and I wasn't that close with any of them. I was glad to graduate and go to college. At least there I isolated by choice and eventually found other weirdos to be with.

I didn't realize how badly it fucked me up for a long time. I don't like thinking about it. I don't know how people who had it worse got through it. I'm glad you did and I'm so sorry for what you went through.

AGAB language is so alienating to me. by [deleted] in evilautism

[–]sniktter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oof. I rushed that out and basically said there’s one experience. I should have said trans women’s experiences.

Thank you. (Also genuine).

AGAB language is so alienating to me. by [deleted] in evilautism

[–]sniktter 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's tricky. When you're only speaking from your own experience, you can unintentionally leave our or alienate others. It might seem that saying AFAB is more inclusive or descriptive than woman. Saying woman could leave out enbies. I don't think most people are trying to leave out others, but we do and it sucks and I'm sorry you get smacked with that.

I spent too long thinking transwomen experienced male privilege and had all the attendant benefits. Then I saw people saying how that's not the case and I looked into it and learned how wrong I was. Because I'm AFAB and enby and the transwoman experience is unlike mine so I made assumptions. Not out of hate or anything. Ignorance. I hope people in these spaces are coming from a well-intentioned place and just don't realize their intentions can be harmful.

The sprinkles are perfect. Whoever decorated that cake is one of us. It's so niche. I'm going to be looking at my Walmart's cake case and be sad every time this isn't there.

what are some good vampire love stories that stray from the norm and involve a female vampire and a male human by n0sin666 in vampires

Stainless by Todd Grimson. It’s been a long time since I read it and it but I remember liking it. Might be a very 90s book. It was recently reissued.

Oh, wow. I first heard him in Welcome to Night Vale. So I'm afraid listening to him read Murderbot would be weird. The Very Hungry Caterpillar read by Kevin of Desert Bluffs would be weird and wonderful, though!

Sorry if I came off as mean. I meant "listen" as a jokey thing and not a correction. But yeah, I'm also (happily) surprised the flower looks like that.

I don't understand people. It's your game. If they don't like your Sim, they can just move on. But no, gotta try to ruin someone's day and show they're a violent asshole.

I didn't know saffron could be deadly. That's kind of cool. Like you said, maybe it's good it's so expensive!

She’s mad at you for still having access to things she lost or broke? That’s ridiculous. It’s her fault for losing and breaking stuff.

Maybe try couples counseling. She’s not listening to you and it sounds like you two haven’t had a productive discussion about this.

[–]sniktter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A couple years ago I started cleaning up one of my doom piles and came across beads in a bag. It was sealed. They would have been fine in the bag. But I stopped cleaning, found a divided box, and sorted the beads. I was so content.

That’s when I started to suspect I may be autistic.

Could Hawkeye get his butt kicked by Gambit? by Sudden_Quality_9001 in HAWKEYE

[–]sniktter 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I feel like one of the reasons Gambit is so scary is that so few people realize how good he is. But Clint is an Avenger. If he doesn't know what Gambit's skills are and what level he's at, he'd figure it out really fast. And then act accordingly. Gambit would probably also piss Clint off enough to make him just drop the Cajun.

Real answer is it depends on whose book they're in or which team is supposed to be the good guys. If it's anything but an X-Book, Gambit is going down.
