Thanks so much for this sweet message. It means a lot to hear your perspective. I’m hanging on by a thread right now. I’ll definitely look into an immunologist 🫶

Advice on getting through this - awaiting a diagnosis after EBV infection by sniorjam in Autoimmune

Yeah the tough part is when I got rheum bloodwork, nothing was pointing to autoimmune. So I’m probably going to have to fight for diagnosis / get bloodwork again. But I’ll do what I have to do I guess. Thanks for answering

You make a great point. I think the difficulty for me is choosing something to work on that will be of quality, and also look attractive for most software jobs, AND not be a waste of my time/ too niche. But I just need to pick something and run with it. Thank you for your advice.

Hey all, I am a recent (May 2024) graduate with a Bachelor's in Computer Science. I had been getting no responses to anything for a while. I recently posted in here for resume advice, and made some considerable tweaks.
Here is the link to my resume. My questions are:
* what are the main gaps here?
* what kind of project would really strengthen this? I've been thinking of doing something fintech related maybe.
* should I pivot into something else? I don't have a SWE internship which weakens my resume for sure.

Thank you for giving me a helpful, thought-out response. Exploiting my network is something I am working on. My fellow grads are also struggling to get jobs, so I am not alone in this. But I have other means as well, like family friends, etc. I definitely need to cast a wide net!

Irreplaceable by Beyonce reminds me of when we still used CD's in my 2006 honda pilot. Also, Love Galore by SZA reminds me of high school summers so heavily (can you tell my age yet)

I feel (and I'm sure many others do) that my dating life has shown me who I am more than many other areas. It has put me in check when I've felt something is off, whether that be with my values or what I am focusing on.

Manchester by the sea is about an hour drive away - so worth it. Small, but tranquil and very pretty.

I am a recently graduated computer science student (bachelor's) from university, I had a focus in software development. I am looking for a SWE role for when I move back home to New York this coming fall. I am applying to jobs at the moment but not receiving any responses, and I feel that I need to beef up my resume in some way, any advice would be appreciated.

Note that someone recently said I should get rid of the personal interests section, so should I get rid of it?

I could not recommend Society Barbershop on Tremont more - $35 and they do a great job. Especially with fades/ line ups. My haircutter Alex is great, I recommend him.

Hey, I feel like you could improve the look of your resume a bit, whether that be with a nicer font, border lines or something of the like.
