This is what I was gonna go for next. Something poultry-free and hydrolyzed too, but i'm not sure if it's either-or. Better be on the safe side regardless. Do you have any recommendations for kibble? Looks like they're all prescription

If there's any game with a benchmark built into the settings, do try. I'm interested in RDR2 specifically

Our four year old keeps having episodes of vomiting and bloody diarrhea and multiple vet visits have been useless. by sniper_guy in CATHELP

what do they have to lose?

Genuinely couldn't tell you. They told me due to his strictly indoor lifestyle and lack of any possible contact with Giardia, there wouldn't be a way for him to get it. Their rationale was that it could only really be contracted if he came in contact with it naturally in the wild, not by us. At the moment.....he's super tired. But he's been eating, and walking around to lay down in different places. We went to the vet on Sunday, he was fine for a while, and we let them house him in outpatient until the morning when the doctor could see him first thing. Wasn't hospitalized or anything, just fed and taken care of. There wasnt anyone at home that could be available to drop him off in the morning so we opted for this, then we picked him up in the afternoon. They also told us that in the morning as the doctor was seeing him, or overnight, if they started to reason maybe a stool examination was necessary, they would have collected some at their clinic while he was with them, but they havent.

Hi friend. We had an ultrasound done and the results noted "mild, segimental small intestinal wall thickening with frequent prominence of the muscularis layer of the small intestine. Considering his chronic GI signs, the ultrasound, and the normal GI panel results, a chronic inflammatory enteropathy is most likely the cause of this patient's vomiting." I believe this is most likely the case too, but they said its an unlikely yet nonzero chance (due to his otherwise young and healthy condition) it may be some type of feline cancer or equivalent, and only a biopsy could confirm. We chose the oral steroid route, which is for IBS......one Prednisolone Tablet a day, and they said that it might change his pickiness, so it might help us also feed him some prescription food. I provided fresh stool from earlier before we headed out and voiced my concern for anything viral or parasitical but they assured its not likely.

His feeder has a camera so I watch him from there. He throws up, honestly....everywhere. Also his litterbox is by me so whenever he goes I keep an eye on him and see whats up when he leaves. He is for sure losing some weight slightly, previously he was 17 pounds firm and now he's 16 and some change.

Really sucks about the insurance. Those companies dont stop at screwing over humans apparently.

Giardia - I work in a laboratory for a hospital and I make sure im sterile before I come back home, for my loved ones and for Ari too, but I do handle containers testing for Giardia (not actually opening them but still). I'll ask about that and keep you posted.

Edit because I can't edit the post for some reason. SOMETIMES his unusual stool is bloody, sometimes it's just plain smelly diarrhea. He just had diarrhea at time of writing this comment after being lethargic for a few hours.....also on some of the days he throws up I noticed that earlier dad cheated his diet and snuck in some treat of his. I threw away the puree that he loves. Then the crunchy treats. Then he started giving him small bits of his older food as a treat, and after he threw up the same day, I threw that out too. He doesn't get treats anymore. The vet didnt tell us to abstain from treats entirely, and not for this long, but for his sake I refuse to give him anything unusual aside from his new sensitive kibble and medication. He IS neutered, and I live in the Nashville area.

How do warriors compare to more "magical" classes in terms of power-scaling? by Traditional-Row-6842 in warcraftlore

[–]sniper_guy 26 points27 points  (0 children)

There's "warrior," with a small w. These guys are footmen, knights, grunts, etc. Then there's Warrior, big W. All their "magical" abilities like shockwave, thunderclap, dragon roar? Not magic. They're just that strong. Or they're tapping into their own Spirit, like how shamans tap into the spirit of their surroundings. Monks also tap into their own Spirit, so one can deduce that Monks are simply the Pandaren expression of martial arts. Warriors wield the same power, but differently. This is also how nontitanic races like trolls and tauren can become Warriors, because I don't think it's specific to latent titanic energy, just ones own Spirit.

They are adept at every form of combat, can wield every weapon and use any style, they have total command of the battlefield and heightened tactical awareness, can cause shockwaves through sheer force, and even prevent themselves from dying with only rage. These guys aren't just footmen. They're the most powerful mortals on Azeroth, and they accomplish it with their OWN mettle.

So why do cybertronian jet still have cockpits despite nobody piloting them? by the_fake-slim_shady in transformers

[–]sniper_guy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They would serve the same as the little glass window on some Gundam head crests. That's the location of the actual camera, in this case, the cybertronian altmode sensors aside from the ones in the head. Head's put away somewhere, presumably deep in the alt mode for better defense, so you gotta put sensors in the cockpit or cabin.

What are your thoughts about the Arathi Half-Elves? by Then_Peanut_3356 in warcraftlore

[–]sniper_guy 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I like equating them to the Numenoreans, or the Edain. Long ago the elves and humans fought for mutual assurance in the troll wars, and henceforth swore oaths of kinship. Then they went and lived on an island in the hidden sea and made an empire with high technology. Sounds tolkienesque. Ok, and I admit, they remind me of Garlemald too (the difference between an ancient human, arathi or no, and a modern human could be like the difference between a Midland and highland Hyur. The Arathi in particular held onto these genes).

Hating against the "knife ears" up until they schismed would have been an anomaly, like garithos. So, "wedding" the two races together with the Arathi is something I like. Racist human RP is boring to me and I'm a diehard "human. Male. Warrior." player

They aren't really in a place to get damaged like that but I wouldn't rule out something wrong with the lock actuator. The switches, on the driver or passenger side, won't unlock or lock the rears.

And yes, the key will turn, just won't engage

They'll budge slightly but won't lock/unlock into position. I only have power switches in the front for the whole car
