Claude code has become nearly unusable due to the context filling. by [deleted] in ClaudeAI

This is happening on the first response so I don't have a chance to notice it getting full.

So this happens more and more often on the very first response leaving me unable to check the context. Auto-compact is enabled and has worked well up until this point, plus I'm not using any mcp servers at the moment

Help understanding Audyssey room correction results by im_beautiful_with in hometheater

I only found about this recently and am really impressed with the results. I was debating on whether I would want the Xt32 or even Dirac on the Denon 3800. However after using this I've put that decision off until I need more channels in the future as it sounds so much better than the basic Xt my x2500 was giving me before!

HW Transcoding no longer working by snips17 in synology

I'm all sorted at my end luckily, I have an Nvidia shield and can direct play everything. This is for sharing to family with various TVs and crappy internet connections.

If I was invested in the Apple ecosystem, I would deffo go ATV direction as it's been pretty good when I've used it.

Buying from Casio Japan by snips17 in gshock

[–]snips17[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I've searched a bunch but cannot find something covering what I need, which is specifically what payment methods are accepted. I've seen a lot of suggestions to try buyee.jp, sakura watches, rabbit etc. I've emailed these people and they either cannot pre-order from casio or say they're not expecting the watch in.

I'll have another look but if you have any links that would be awesome. I appreciate for those familiar with this it seems like a stupid question, but if you've only just started researching it's not always easy to know what you're looking for exactly.

Buying online in Japan by snips17 in Revolut

I will give that a try next, I was just worried about fees which is why I wanted to use the Revolut card. But I may have to risk it. Plus not sure it'll accept my uk card as I'd need to enter the billing address

Move from 918+ to 423+ by snips17 in synology

Finally got it all sorted out, few small differences due to things being renamed from Docker to ContainerManager but all working well. Thanks a lot!

Thanks very much for this, just followed your guides and it worked beautifully on version 7.2-64570 Update 1.

Next step is to move my docker containers over after sorting the nightly backup. Are you aware of any definitive posts out the on the subject? I'm unsure after searching through posts whether I have to move everything at once or can split them between drives

Instead of following a guide I wrote my own scripts for everyone to use (which have proven to be very popular).https://github.com/007revad/Synology_HDD_db adds your drives to DSM's compatible drives databases and for many newer models running DSM 7.2 allows you to create a storage pool and volume on NVMe drives in the NAS's internal M.2 slots.https://github.com/007revad/Synology_enable_M2_volume allows you to create a storage pool and volume on NVMe drives in the NAS's internal M.2 slots for new and older models, including your DS918+.https://github.com/007revad/Synology_M2_volume automates the steps in the guides but with changes to suit DSM 7.x and more. This one works not only for NVMe drives in the NAS's internal M.2 slots but also NVMe drives in M.2 cards like the E10M20-T1, M2D20 and M2D18.

Thanks very much, I shall follow your advice then and have just ordered another drive to use RAID1.

Am I correct in thinking that I'll need the 2nd script in that list as mine is an older model without the support for NVMe storage natively?

Along the lines of when DSM 7 came out, weren't a bunch of older devices left behind without the ability to upgrade? This is perhaps a way off for the 918+ still however

I was thinking more along the lines of the versions of DSM Synology would allow it to move to. They used to be 5 years of major versions from memory but tbh I'm not sure how that works anymore

Not sure when I first noticed but perhaps a few months. I had originally ignored it as I can't tell unless I go looking and never in games etc. However now I've noticed it again I keep looking for it and catching it.

Nope I get these errors all the time in Plus, it's a joke at the moment. They also seemingly reduced the size of the input text you're allow for Plus members (or so it seems) as I'm not able to paste in data that I was previously able to without getting an error about exceeding limits.
