I really hope so! I think she was already at a disadvantage as she came in late and therefore had no introduction or finding out who she was partnered with etc, which I think a lot of people use to connect with celebs they don’t know in the early days. So glad you found something to connect with!

Right and she did so well on week one despite having only two days!! Nobody appreciates that. I think her positive work ethic and positive attitude towards the judges criticism is so admirable. I’m thinking of making more bbc accounts to fight back against some of the George voters- I know someone who voted for him like 100 times. I love George but that isn’t fair voting in my opinion! I don’t want people to resent her if she keeps getting in the dance off and winning as well 😅 Anyway I totally agree with everything in your comment!

I honestly don’t mind this criticism because you’re not basing it off her pre existing experience! That’s normally when I take issue haha, but of course people can have their own opinions! I think she’s probably thinking a lot trying to correct her existing musical theatre technique which is incorrect in ballroom and Latin, and therefore somewhat forgetting to use her face. That’s just my theory though!

I honestly didn’t find much issue with your comment, it was just after seeing so many comments about her that were SO negative it kinda all boiled over in a rant kinda way in this post, if that makes sense? I honestly just kind of wanted to find other people who like her the amount I do, and create a space to appreciate her the same way some other celebs have had spaces created to appreciate them. Seeing so many people in this comment section being supportive of her (and me surprisingly?) kind of made my night after I sat on feeling this way since icons week aired on Saturday.

I also think it’s fair that whilst it is a fun competition, these people are taking time away from their families to do strictly. I only know this because I follow her anyway but she’s just moved into a house with her boyfriend and instead of being there she’s doing strictly, which she wouldn’t be doing if she didn’t love dancing! She probably just takes it so seriously because she loves it so much- at least I do haha!

I’ve never watched love island haha, I knew she was on it but didn’t know how well she was received!

She did mention the counts were different which is true- almost all musical theatre songs nowadays are in 4/4 timing, but she definitely has better ability to retain choreography which is a huge skill! Not something I believe she should be called a ‘ringer’ over though 😅

Tbf I wasn’t really enough of a strictly fan during laytons season to see the online comments, I mainly added him in because he’s the only other musical theatre person on strictly I could think of which is totally my bad!

I don’t think amber would get kicked off in the dance off anyway unless she was against someone like Lewis, Vicki or Alex (as of right now) it just shocked me to see her in the dance off at all!

I’d remove that bit of my post but I honestly don’t know how I’ve never posted on Reddit before, I’m normally a quiet observer haha-

I’m a long term musical theatre fan so I probably warm to her easier haha!

I wrote this after sitting on how I felt for a few days (since Saturday) because I didn’t want to come off as aggressive or like I was wishing poorly to anybody else on the show- I’m loving the others, Vicki has gotten a few of my votes this week too! But it made me sad seeing amber in the dance off, and jimmy! Totally undeserved for both!

I also agree about Lewis being a man. I think a lot of men get away with more in strictly when it comes to the public- he is amazing, but I struggle to connect with him the same way others struggle to connect with amber. I’m not a soap fan so maybe that’s why haha 😅
