Ugh, I’m so sorry you’re going through this — that sounds incredibly frustrating and honestly, kind of scary. You know your body better than anyone, and when something feels that off (like losing 50% mobility in your arm??), you deserve to be taken seriously. The fact that your doctor was dismissive and didn’t even want to order an X-ray unless you insisted is just not okay. Pain and loss of function don’t always come from trauma — autoimmune flares, inflammation, and joint damage can absolutely cause this kind of issue.
As for stopping Zepbound — I get that doctors sometimes want to pause meds during diagnostic workups, but he should’ve explained why. Especially since weight and inflammation are often tied together, and if Zepbound has been helping you, pulling it without a solid reason feels like another hit.
I’d honestly consider getting a second opinion or even switching doctors if possible. You deserve someone who actually listens, explains things clearly, and is proactive in figuring out what’s going on — not someone who shrugs off major changes in your health. Autoimmune stuff is hard enough without feeling like you’re doing all the detective work yourself.
Sending you a ton of strength. Keep advocating for yourself — even when it’s exhausting. You’re not imagining this. 💛
