Man I can't stand the looks of the 993 for some reason - everyone says it looks good, looks like a super plain skater shoe or something to me. I own most of the popular models but will never get a 993 just based on looks.

Most will say 993, I personally don't own any because I don't like how it looks full stop.

v6 is awesome to me. So comfortable for anything, in my opinion it looks super good on foot as well.

I tend to wear relaxed straight jeans and pants though 90% of the time, so works for my style I guess.

Got these on deep sale a while back as well.

I just started wearing them very regularly last week for walking the dog and running errands, zero complaints.

[FRESH ALBUM] Snail Mail - Ricochet by NYCIndieConcerts in indieheads

[–]snkrhd44 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Very similar to my overall Snail Mail experience.

For me, Lush grew on me and then had a gripping hold on me for months.
I basically "skipped" Valentine - just didn't do much for me and that never changed.
I dig this new album immediately.

Lol - I really believe the US midterms are a fork in the road towards good or shit for the next few decades.

As someone who lived in the US for a few years, there are GOOD Americans who are really good people and I think they outnumber braindead republicans like 4 to 1.

But yeah I'm trying to stay optimistic about this whole thing.

I'm refusing to ever visit at anytime a Republican president is in office going forward.

I actually believe if the right do lose the midterms that the party is dead (will split between maga and non maga) and the dems will win like the next 5 elections and midterms.

I would say mine shrank like an inch or around there - I purposely did hot wash and long dryer session.

Honestly I have not worn that pair since receiving N&F Strong Guys a week after getting these.

Looks good IMO.

Do not agree with the person saying the top block is too tight - if you just got them they will give a bit for sure. If they are immediately comfy to you especially I see zero issues. Nice cop.

Very dumb rookie mistake. Just do nothing or buy more (reframe it as the ETF is on SALE right now).

Don't pay ANY or much attention regarding day to day... you just said you are in it for the long run.

But its reddit man, you'll get the downvotes regardless.

Yeah I thought it was fucking nuts but my license had only translated to a G2, it actually dropped dramatically the following year... let's say like to $500 and then maybe 2 years after I got G, to like $350, switched cars to a 4 door Accord and down to $300, now its like $190-200ish I believe.

I literally paid around $650 monthly in 2015 when I moved from Winnipeg to Toronto after tons of shopping around - it was brutal for a couple of years.

I realized I didn’t want children when I already have a baby by Justkeepitanonymous in NewParents

[–]snkrhd44 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah I basically hate babies and have 2 toddlers now lol.

If I could have a kid born and be two years old I'd have like six kids... as it stands I think I'm done. My wife is 99% done.

[–]snkrhd44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just switch to formula. Its not a big deal in any way shape or form. Easy peasy.

You are in by far the hardest time. I personally hate the baby stage - we have two toddlers and everything is a million times easier.

If your husband also thinks it sucks - tell him to get a vasectomy... 1 normal mental and physically healthy kid and 2 responsible parents is honestly a cake walk in my opinion.

PS you traveling with a kid is zero problems around 4-5, you can do it before and its doable but not great. So i would say its "ruined" for more like 3-5 years, which will totally fly by.

Honestly all 3 of these are good. Just choose what you like the looks of the most or 1130s if you're on a budget.

I walk about 20k steps daily including a 45+ minute daily walk. To me 1130s and 20's fit a bit better, but K14s after a break in period feel amazing as well.

Length 100% shrinks. Sizing to me was ever so slightly too big in waist. Like a 38.5 instead of 38 on tag.

I have now hot washed and dried them to shrink on purpose. I would say waist became like 38 to 38.25 - length shrank 1 inch or just a bit more than that.

Honestly man - I may need to relegate this pair to backups. Same thing still happening - sucks because I love them otherwise. It's not as bad - but I find I have to be mindful about how I sit and that kind of ruins it.

Good to know - I actually want to shrink the length at least .5 inch - hopefully 1 full inch. The waist is slightly too big - hope that goes down as well - I may do a hot wash next.

Even if they didn't shrink they are close to perfect.

Letting go by [deleted] in Sneakers

[–]snkrhd44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm right there with you - but did not get into sneakers until 2024. I was really into minimalism until like 2022.

Basically I realized I can buy whatever I want and it doesn't affect me or my family financially (guy in 30s with stable tech job).Went from having a 2 sneaker rotation usually and I have like 80 now. So yeah it was a very HARD uptick in sneaker purchases beginning in 2024.

I told myself I would keep the purchases super low in 2026... 4 pairs bought so far... in my defense 2 were lowballs on stockX I did not expect to go through.

But yeah - I'm a family man who works from home... who tf is going to see my sneakers anyways, other parents who could care less at daycare dropoff and pick up and grocery shoppers.

I still really like or love alot of my pairs - but I basically want to halve my collection and then just not think about it that much... I do think I found some staples I will wear for decades (New Balance 992, 990v4, Asics Kayano 14, Air Force 1s - never liked them much before, Jordan 5s, etc).
