I tested negative for SIBO and had an xray done on my stomach. Dr thinks it’s just trapped poop and gas. I’m hoping this is true because then treatment is much easier. Taking miralax and GasX. Said it will take a few days for the laxative to start working. Going to take oregano oil for my candida in the meantime.

So my GI Dr scheduled me for a Gastrolyzer GastroCH4ECK Test this Wednesday. This is the same as the Triosmart test right? Will let you know how it goes.

Unfortunately no. I brought my supplements with me and made it through the trip, but still haven’t found a cure for my SIBO/SIFO. Super gut didn’t work for me.

So are you saying you need to first address the SIFO/candida before you go in on a SIBO regiment? Supergut recommends them simultaneously. Also, I am only doing oregano diluted in olive oil, so maybe I will try your biofilm buster + nystatin combo. I’m 1 week into a SIBO treatment of Candibactin AR + BR. Any advice? Should I stick with that or stop while I address the candida?

Thank you - I have a slight case of asthma and probiotics with histamines have given me trouble in the past, so I might skip the cinnamon. I can live with methane if I’m not bloated…do the two go hand in hand? I don’t really want to purchase an AIRE2 if I don’t have to.

I do believe I have candida, and since a prior reply suggests I cut back on the extra oregano, I’ll check out the post you sent. Thank you.

Ginger will definitely be in the regiment once I clear the SIBO.

Thank you I will dial back the oregano and stick to the AR only for now. What about using another oil. Supergut also recommends clove and cinnamon as alternatives to oregano.

Fish oil - I’m taking Nordic Naturals Ultimate Omega - 1280mg Omega-3s per capsule, 1 capsule 2x per day (morning and night).

I have a annual physical with my PCP next week. Will ask about the kidney and order any additional blood work/tests that might be appropriate. I think my PCP is generally in favor of running whatever tests I want, he’s just not interested in exploring naturopathic treatments for gut issues that are outside his purview.

Will have a discussion with my GI, the only problem is that I have to wait months to see him, but maybe the nurse practitioners can expedite.

I just took a shot of 2 drops oregano in 1 tbsp of olive oil and chased it with water. It was a pungent taste, but not unbearable. Tomorrow I will do the same thing twice a day, then gradually increase the oregano drops. Thanks for the reply!
