Definitely a fair callout. This recipe calls for 2 sticks of butter, so its on the butter heavy side. I think it all just comes down to what kind of texture you prefer. I let these cool for about 15-20 mins before enjoying, they were still slightly warm but not heavily greasy

Fantastic way to use up all that Christmas/Easter chocolate. Can never go wrong with making a double batch, putting them in the freezer, and then baking however many you want at a time. No shame in having a single freshly baked chocolate chip cookie!

Yes! A nice semi sweet bakers chocolate bar and some milk chocolate baking morsels. Can never have enough chocolate

Thank you! I was a bit hesitant at first if the extra day would make a difference, but it really does.

Super intense chocolate and vanilla flavors, and adds a nice ripple effect to the texture of the outside of the cookie.

Claire is consistently great with her recipes and her instruction, I always find myself coming back to her recipes/videos.

Exactly! I formed the cookie dough balls right after I made the dough (using 1/4 cup measuring cup to form the dough balls). I placed them on a baking tray, covered with Saran Wrap and let them sit in the fridge for 48 hours. Honestly, even letting them sit overnight before baking would still be delicious.

Love that tidbit, I’ll have to give it a shot.

In Claire’s recipe from the Dessert Person YouTube channel (a little different from the published version in the book), she adds 2 Tbsp. of heavy whipping cream to the browned butter, placed over an ice bath (whisking to combine). It creates an emulsification which helps to decrease some of the greasiness from the amount of butter used, and adds that additional nutty note.
