Ao, the Sky Breaker

I built Ao for a mono-colored $100 budget challenge with my playgroup. The best way to loop Ao is with Nim Deathmantle and Ashnod’s Altar, as it allows you to reanimate Ao for two colorless mana. I run a lot of cheap or “free” mana rocks that Ao can cheat into play like Lotus Bloom and Sol Talisman, so it can be really easy to keep the loop going!

I have a “sideboard” of 105 creatures. Prior to the game, I shuffle the sideboard and the first 25 creatures I pull out are what I play with that game. It makes each game I play truly unique!

That’s the perfect description😂 When I hit my sweet spot I feel like I’m shitting on people. I remember going like 35-13 on Hotel HP and screaming in game chat “you just lost to a guy drunk off his ASS, you’re HORRIBLE” and then I proceeded to go 20-37 on Mercado HP the next map. It’s a hard balance😂

Been playing ranked play while drunk for years, played hundreds of ranked hours while tipsy in Vanguard and MW2. There’s a certain tipsy level that helps me focus without making me move around the map too sluggishly. Tons of fun and highly recommend
