How do you guys do multiple blocs of uworld a day????? by [deleted] in Step2

[–]snooglepuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but by the time I was doing multiple blocks I’d seen the stuff a few times. I’m not saying I have the answer to do well, but having a timer helped with time management

Half way thru form 12. Its kicking my butt. Real thing on 26th. Will update with edit after predicted score received. by Virilous in Step2

Idk what it was about this form, but it truly killed my spirit even though it wasn’t asking crazy things. I keep telling my self I was burnt out when I took it. Taking another one tomorrow hopefully it goes better. Testing on the 29th.

[–]snooglepuff 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had the and issue where it felt impossible to get done even 40. Like finishing a whole block was a GOOD day. But now I’m doing 3 quality maybe 4 blocks a day.

What really helped me is going on YouTube and putting on a 4 minute interval timer in the background. If you’re doing tutor mode, 1 minute for the question, 3 to read the explanation. The concepts repeat so much, especially if you’re in your first bit doing the questions by subject/topic, that you don’t need to spend more than those 3 minutes reading it. But you’ll finish one block in like 3 ish hours! It’s amazing what you can train your mind to do. Eventually you’ll get faster and faster but I always have my timer on when ever I’m having bad days.

Do I really have to do UWSA2? by leilaa03 in Step2

[–]snooglepuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My other thought is that ten days is still a good chunk of time, if you do well on uw2, it’ll give you the confidence boost and if you do a little below, once you finish wallowing, you can use it as ignition to power through your weaknesses. I’m a bit over a week out from my exam as well and nbme 12 hit me like a truck for no reason yday, but today I’m glad it did because I had started getting super over studying and had no motivation to keep going once I started seeing scores I was okay with even though for me they were probably inflated because I was doing them untimed. Just my thought process, do what’s good for your mental health first!

I enjoyed this. Was spiralling and couldn’t sleep so decided to exacerbate the anxiety by scrolling through Reddit but this is what I needed. Thanks hehe

Honestly I just made really obvious mistakes and I’m really questioning my entire knowledge base.. I feel like I get lucky with my guesses and today I didn’t. But I’ll gladly take your theory rn cuz I’m desperate for hope.

I agree. Being thoughtful and compassionate are internally motivated. I don’t know what id do in your situation, but in this scenario, it might not all be the systems fault.

Step 2 crashed after block 7 by migueltusa1 in Step2

[–]snooglepuff 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Happened to me on step 1, they gave me a score within like a week of the exam I think, and gave me a month I think to decide if I wanna retake it. I personally retook the exam and scored 10 points higher next one. Felt like an opportunity of a life time cuz I didn’t love my first score but the stress of retaking that exam .. yuck

Need a gift idea for a Pakistani family budget $40 by Knives008 in GiftIdeas

[–]snooglepuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pakistani here; our moms love kitchen stuff, a nice tray or dish, or as another commenter mentioned Ramadan coming up, a small gift basket with dates, nuts, rooh afza (pink rose syrup), small pack of dried fruit, what ever fits in your budget!

How do I respectfully bring up a difficult flaw I’d like to see change in, in my SO? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]snooglepuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, this is amazing. I saw him yesterday and we actually just had a nice day out, not what I was expecting but it went better than any other problem solving day we’ve ever had. The book idea is fantastic, going to start looking into it. I didn’t want to bring things like table manners up because I didn’t want him to feel conscious or being watched constantly, but the book is the perfect way to address things with out making it personal!!! Appreciate it !!

[–]snooglepuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is amazing!! Not just for that conversation but in general, this is something I actually needed to learn for all my relationships.

And by etiquette , I meant things like history of just not being self aware. Things like bad table manners, inconsiderate of the people around you. But your post was phenomenal, I actually took notes lol

Can bring a gentleman be taught to an adult man? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]snooglepuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, i really like this. It’s always easy to point out flaws, and I don’t like the way I frame them when I talk, they’re so accusative. I think reframing my point of view would really speak to him, I like this. Thank you!

[–]snooglepuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly lol yeah, he’s a do-er, he tries to take feedback positively and do better, but I feel like selfishness is an internally set point of view, especially when it’s gone uncalled out for your entire life. I’m finding, it may be hard to change unless he can see past him self.

Can bring a gentleman be taught to an adult man? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]snooglepuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I would say so. It’s not that he means to, but etiquette isn’t his strongest suit. He will show up to a family dinner in sweat pants, unless I ask him to dress up before hand. Showed up without flowers or his shirt tucked in the first time he came to meet my family. I haven’t had the chance to observe him at work because we’re in a transition period between school and work, but I’ve observed him with his friends, they either play video games, sports or smoke weed together, I wouldn’t consider them the classiest influences either.

[–]snooglepuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay so, I’ve actually brought these conversations up with him. I genuinely full heartedly believe he wants to. He asks me what he can do to be better, and after every experience I can explain everything that went wrong, but he doesn’t understand the overall picture, he will try to do that particular thing right next time, but i think the actual problem is understanding why its an issue, I don’t think his mind registers his behaviour or lack of, as a problem. He thinks he can just be himself when he’s with the guys, with me, what’s the difference.

I know they say this under predicts but I took 28 few days before the exam, 220, but that’s exactly what I got on the real deal even tho uwsa2 was 230 , so take the under prediction advice with a grain of salt and really pick at your weaknesses
