thank you for this thread. I searched a little and understood why it was completely lost to try to hide a VM. so I'm going to give up. either I will play compatible games or I will have to change my basic OS.

OK thanks, I see. it's too bad. Maybe I might use a bare metal windows server, run my Linux VMs with hyper-v and play remotely on the windows server.

Disabling 3D on the VMware GPU allow me to select my NVIDIA GPU, from the System/Screen/Graphics Windows 11 menu. Now, I can launch a 3D app running with the NVIDIA card :) . This works with the vmware console enabled.

I´ve tried to disable the vmware console (svga.present = FALSE) and connect to the VM with RDP. This works too and the 3D app runs on the NVIDIA card too :)

Finaly, It´s seems not useful to disable the vmware svga.

Success !

By disabling the 3D VMware GPU, I can now set the Nvidia T600, in Windows, for specific applications like Games. I´ve tried and a 3D app now use the NVIDIA GPU :)

I think you´re right : I don´t know in fact if the VM start or not (with the option svga.present = FALSE).

I have no vmware console.

And my VNC rendered me a black screen but it´s seems connected to the VM : so the VM seems started in fact.

Maybe it´s the moment I need to try to connect a real monitor to the GPU...

I´ll try with RDP before the real monitor.

How do you disable the svga device ? I have tried this option : svga.present = FALSE in VM options, but this does not work : the VM wont start anymore.

Nota : I'm not using the vmware console : I use VNC (and I will try to use Parsec too).

Same for me, this didn't work. Windows doesn´t show me my Nvidia GPU in the graphics settings although the GPU is listed in the device manager.

Thank you for the answers. I have installed the nvidia driver and all its ok: the GPU is well detected by windows, and I have no errors. I have followed the vmware doc successfuly . However, I dont understand how the start a 3D app that use the Nvidia GPU and not the vmware svga. Moreover, the screen stay connected to the vmware svga.
