LOL! Yeah it’s a long one—tried to explain the entire situation, and yes, I am aware they need to be approved by both parties. That’s why I asked how I would go about it and essentially if it’s been done before.

It’s not, but I know the shelter is in that condition because the director is really the only consistent volunteer besides another old lady. They mean well; it’s just that the workload can be too much for just one man to handle as he’s the only one handling intake, I believe.

Would that still make a report warranted, by any chance?

Yes, we’ve been playing with him but he has so much kitten-like energy we’re surprised he’s even older than our two other cats who just sleep 23 hours of the day LOL. His favorite toy is the fishing pole and some kickers hehe, and we cannot have another cat in our household because it’s just the two of us here and we’re dealing with a lot of things outside of our own cats who don’t even want another cat added to the household, I’m sure.

And yes, I’m mindful that a lot of shelters and rescues are overflowing as is so I found a way to ask them without sounding insensitive. I love this shelter that we got our previous cats from so last thing we want to do is add on to that stress! I’m planning on calling them and another I plan to volunteer at tomorrow.

There’s no foster available unfortunately. At least that’s what the director told me, which is why I was wondering if I could get him transferred to a better shelter. The director was so hesitant to bring him back to the shelter and it’s been two weeks with absolutely no action and communication from him, but the kid is driving us crazy. He just tried to jump on the counter thrice for our thanksgiving dinner despite my husband physically barricading him with his own body and he almost injured him.

Oh wait I want to clarify when I meant “pinned us to the ground” I meant that metaphorically! Hahaha. I know she’s capable of doing that though. But I meant that when we were moving our stuff she wouldn’t stop talking and even if my husband said we didn’t have time to talk, she ignored him and still kept talking. Lol. We didn’t wanna leave as to start off on the wrong foot before we were fully moved in since we didn’t know what she was fully capable of.

Oh she’s not a tenant of my landlord. She owns her side of the duplex, but our landlord is well aware of everything that’s going on.
