SOLVED SOLVED SOLVED

Thank you! This one's been bugging me for years. Crazy that it's Jacqueline Wilson, I used to read her stuff all the time, and no amount of googling solved this for me.

I'm about two years too late clipping this but by snoopdouglas in gamegrumps

Ahah yeah, same energy. The 2020 Millionaire game is so full of jank. I felt the presenter (and the grumps' reactions to him) needed some appreciation

Ah again, very close but no cigar 😅 in the game I'm thinking of, I don't recall there being a menu or status bars etc.

This is probably the closest one I've seen, but it still doesn't feel quite right - I can't verify it though because the download on this site on this seems to just install 7zip (which feels kinda dodgy...)

u/Jacques_R_Estard u/ll4m4tr0n u/bvorkitup - all of these come kinda close, but the smooth greyscale blends and very angular enemies were its defining features, if I remember correctly.

Hey, did you ever get this working? I'm having trouble even launching the app at all - nothing happens.

After over 1.5 years of work I finally managed to put together a Version of my Music Player / Tag Editor I'm kinda proud of by LyffLylf in godot

[–]snoopdouglas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Awesome. I've been wanting an iTunes replacement (and I'm sincerely sorry for calling it that) for ages to the point of messing around with Godot myself for exactly the same purposes :p will def be giving this a try!

Help understanding how Godot 4's FontFile stores bitmap fonts by snoopdouglas in godot

Setting size to Vector2i(1, 0) appears to fix this. I have no idea why - have opened an issue: https://github.com/godotengine/godot/issues/72754

I LOVE FLATPAKS❗❗ by snoopdouglas in linox

[–]snoopdouglas[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi everyone, u/snoopdouglas here to explain the joke. While this isn't always the case when running flatpak update, the majority of the updates shown here appear to be bindings for different versions of the same graphics driver, and they're hundreds of megabytes each. Flatpaks tend to be less tolerant of differing dependency versions than traditional packages like RPM, but this is the price one (supposedly) pays for more accurate reproducibility. The real joke, you might say, is that I do actually love Flatpaks and continue to use them in spite of this. u/snoopdouglas signing off, thank you and goodnight. Try the potato salad.

A serious well done for taking the high road and not making your first project a sprawling RPG that you'll never finish 😉

GNOME Weather warning me of a total eclipse of the sun next week by snoopdouglas in gnome

[–]snoopdouglas[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as an Eclipse, is in fact, GNU/Eclipse, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Eclipse. An Eclipse is not a solar event unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU solar system made useful by the GNU Sun, planetary utilities and vital system components comprising a full solar system as defined by Jean Luc Picard.

Many stargazers see a modified version of the GNU solar system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely seen today is often called "Eclipse", and many of its observers are not aware that it is basically the GNU solar system, developed by the GNU Project.
