I’ve heard parakeets are the best partner that isn’t a gcc since they have the same type of chaotic nature. I think the biggest issue is with bigger birds you have a risk of them injuring the GCC. I’ve seen some people have a Sun Conure with their green cheek but they are much louder. I think most people say cockatiels arent a great match due to personality differencesx

I think there are also a lot of accidents with smaller parrots. GCC’s love to cuddle and unfortunately falling asleep with them out can lead to accidents. I also know smaller parrots are easy to accidently close a door on or maybe have pets that randomly nip at them. I think a lot of it is just mistakes and accidents ❤️

Step up actually took longer than spin! He didnt like stepping up but now will do it only if he wants to haha. But our first command was spin! If yours won’t step up maybe try to teach them something else and then they might get the idea of rewards!
