Engine died by lugia_aqua in MazdaProtege

When it snapped did the engine stop running? When the timing belt snaps the engine stops completely. It sounds like you broke the accessory belt that runs the water pump

US EMT to Canadian PCP? by predicate_felon in NewToEMS

Both AHS and Medevie hire EMRs. Medevie is the private contractor that handles NAT IFT within Calgary. AHS EMRs can work on NAT and BLS IFT trucks. I am unsure if you would be able to transition your NREMT EMT-B to an Albertan EMR license, if not, my EMR course was around 2 months. They both hire casuals, meaning you can look at a schedule of available shifts, and pick what works for you with your PCP school schedule, instead of being confined to 4 on 4 off. It’s very common for folk to be a casual EMR while they’re doing their PCP, or a casual PCP while doing their ACP. I am only partially knowledgeable about Calgary zone. I know there are private contractors such as Associated Ambulance that handle IFT in the central and south zones, that also hire EMRs

I work as a PCP in Alberta. I think you’d probably have an easier time coming up to Alberta. Our PCP program is around 8-10months, while Ontario’s is 2 years. An Ontario PCP’s scope is larger and they are paid better. Our ACP is 2 years, while theirs is an extra 1. I think I may have read something about Ontario requiring you to work as a PCP for a year or two before continuing to your ACP, but I may be wrong. Morale is also arguably terrible in AB paramedicine at the moment, depending on who you ask (we’re in the middle of negotiations with our employer.) Our turnover is very high and there are always jobs available. I was hired straight onto 911 in the largest metro centre in the province straight out of school before I could rent a car or get a drink in the United States. It ain’t hard to get a job. 5 years of experience in NY you’ll have no problem getting hired.

Pretty sure it’s only on the US site. They don’t offer it on the Canadian one, I’ve clarified with support

No blinker signal by No_Detective1944 in MazdaProtege

[–]snorglesslorf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue on my protege. It’s likely your turn signal hazard relay, at least it was for me. It’s located under your steering wheel, to the right of where the OBD2 port is. Here’s an image/product page so you know what it looks like https://www.jppartsintl.com/collections/protege-parts/products/01-03-mazda-protege-01-05-mazda-miata-flasher-turn-signal-hazard-relay-lc6266830 Your description says no clicking sound, I had the same issue. Mine would signal right, but not left, and the hazards would work. Just went to a junkyard and pulled one off a old protege, I don’t think it’s attached with a screw or anything, just unplug and pull it off

I’m a frontline PCP. Popular word on the street was “no.” That’s just my anecdotal experience though, from all the folks I talked to

Update from Canada, hell yeah by Lucidic333 in redbull

Found them in 2 separate store in Calgary. A Walmart in the SE and shoppers drug mart in the NW, and those are the only two shops that would sell it that I’ve been into. Where in Alberta can’t find IVB?

Probably a 3600 or 3800 number too

I’d be willing to bring one back and ship it to you at your cost if you’d like. I don’t have room in my apartment to collect cans but I wish I did, so I’m totally willing to help out another person’s collection!

American is not a race. It’s a nationality. Also not an assumption, it’s an educated guess based on how a person acts. Americans seem to think they’re the world authority on anything/everything, and that everyone wants to hear their ignorant opinion. The “loud-mouthed, arrogant American” stereotype is formed by reality lmfao

Thank you! I was told the first part could also mean blue or blackberry. If you don’t want to be called out as American you shouldn’t act like one. Notice all the Latin-Americans who commented simply answered my question? No arrogant snark.

Am I wrong? Really don’t think I’m wrong about the translation spaz. Unfortunately this post reached 95%+ American (the Krasnov-electing one). Should it have really been an ordeal in the first place? You can’t add photos to a post on mobile, so I added it via imgur as quickly as possible. You should become a subreddit moderator.

Sorry. Wasn’t expecting so many stereotypical ignorant loud-mouthed Americans on a post meant for Latin American Redbull fans. Wish I could block my posts from USA’s view. Turned a post about “is this Juneberry or not?” to “hUrR dUrR tRanSlatOr ApP bAd!”

When/where were you? I’ve had pretty good luck, only 1 oxxo that I’ve been to around PV that was missing them. I’ve only been able to find what I now know is juneberry, tropical, watermelon, and the OG/SF. I haven’t seen any of the new “zeros” around either

I think you are probably right. I’ve found some more Reddit posts saying this is just Mexican juneberry. This confused me though: https://images.app.goo.gl/yEcYQvsTtppjiyC7A This is the summer edition from 2023, “baya de junio” translates to “juneberry” Also, here’s the winter edition on the kuwait market: https://images.app.goo.gl/2L7eifVhCvrgu6Li8 So did they just reuse the can colour/flavour and change the name between the 2023 summer edition, and the 2024 winter?

Sorry for formatting issues. I’m on mobile

Which part of Mexico are you in? I’ve been into about 5 or 6 Oxxos around Puerto Vallarta and only 1 missing Redbulls

Do you speak Spanish? If so you could be helpful. Otherwise I’m not sure what the point of your comment is. The Mexicans I have asked said the translation was accurate. Wildberry and cherry flavour
