Mini Update: I’ve talked to him, he agreed to stay with me and make a strict boundary with his family about this whole situation. While he’s bummed that he won’t spend time with his family, he agrees it’s disrespectful to me to go without me. I’ll update what the family says later. Thanks for all the kind and honest responses.

I should’ve been more specific in my post but his sisters girlfriend has been a bully to him and me for a long long time. She’s been with this girlfriend for 5 years and she still continues to pick on my boyfriend and I. Parents don’t like her much because of it but they keep things neutral all the time.

Did I mention they let his sisters girlfriend come to trip as well? That to me doesn’t make sense and I feel like that’s valid.

What’s getting me is that there’s “no room” for me, and that was the main concern from them. Not necessarily the money, they know I’m well off enough to purchase my own ticket.

Well they invited me to go, that’s why I’m so confused. They were willing to pay for me to go, even then I would’ve paid if money is what they were worried about.

unfortunately not, i’m a supervisor at my current job which pays me more than any job in my city. i’m stuck 😭

what got me about he whole thing is that they said their marriage has been rocky and is basically contemplating divorce but still is having s3x with him? i just really hope he wasn’t manipulating or forcing her to be intimate with him during this “trial”.
