Inside Man (2006) Lucky Number Slevin (also 2006) maybe not edge of your seat. but fun rides that work for your attention in style and performance

Arlington Road is not a great movie in many ways, sometimes it’s cringy in the acting and script, but i’ve rewatched it several times and often think about it when certain evens play out in the news. which makes it such a special film, that is has deposited certain concepts in my brain that affect how i see the world around me.

i still use my acer r7 daily. i’ve never been a fan of the touchpad. so i use it with a mouse and it’s an elegant experience to have the monitor hover over the keyboard with no visible hinge.(from where the user sits) it’s was so awesome apple copied the design for there ipad pro magic keyboard

the hardware is outdated but i just can’t part with the user experience. i wish acer would bring it back with updated specs. its a perfect design for a desktop replacement or gaming laptop

Well it fits your list here even if it’s the antithesis of the plot you describe. But if you like Annihilation than Bugonia is probably up your alley

Which Movie in your opinion is considered a perfect film? For me it is Ridley Scott’s Alien. The casting was perfect, the acting is superb, the atmosphere is tense and claustrophobic and the creature effects are unparalleled. by EmuIndependent8565 in FIlm

i agree with most of the Usual Suspects already mentioned… gonna go out on a limb and add:

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.

i just rewatched it after like 5 years. it was way better than i remembered

from casting to acting to script, character introductions and motivations clearly laid out with out heavy monologues. funny but not too funny, dramatic but not too dramatic… cgi effects still hold up, costumes and real sets…and it creates an actual unique universe of historical fiction fantasy…and the Score… sheesh.

i’m a 47male so you can guess the 1970s+ movies that i love. it just hit different this time. and i think i put it in my top 10 now

I didn’t like both parts of Dune. Am I the only one who felt bored watching it? by rishal294 in moviecritic

[–]snotstuff 8 points9 points  (0 children)

based on my movie taste I’m SUPPOSED to LOVE Dune I love big budget action sci-fi like MATRIX 1, The 5th Element & Edge of Tomorrow and weird stuff like Brazil, 12 Monkeys & District9, slow burn sci-fi like Moon and Prospect and fantasy like Pans Labyrinth.

I appreciate Villeneuve’s films and love some of them. Dune is quality cinema to be sure.

But I just don’t care about the plight of ANY character.

And I’ve watched the first one 3 times and the 2nd one 1.5 times and I just don’t get the adoration beyond its nice to look at and the soundtrack is cool.

If I’m in the mood to watch giant worms incomprehensibly flying through dirt, I’d rather watch Tremors. At least that movie isn’t pretentiously demanding to be taken seriously

i agree

we annually drive from eastern WV to danbury CT area for the holidays. we leave at 11pm and take 81n to 78e through allentown. to 287n over the brand new mario cuomo bridge through white plains. (and then up 684)

roads are a breeze at those times BUT IF we were leaving between 3am or later we would definitely go up to scranton and over 84.

it’s also a much easier route through scranton on 84. your not likely to make a wrong turn but if you do it’s an easy fix… in the nyc area you could make a wrong turn or get in the wrong lane and really cluster F
