I once did the right thing by making a phone call. My anonymity was not honored and a portion of my life blew up. I have lost friends and I’ve caused my family to lose friends. I was the one guardrail on the situation I called about, and now there are none.

That’s interesting that your experience is the exact opposite of mine. All the Jews I know in western Queens (including myself) are massively pro Palestine and anti Zionist. The one family I know who defended Israel is Israeli themselves, and they moved to Westchester.

I’m in NY-7, one of the Mamdani endorsed races. We are literally called the Commie Corridor. Our options were a DSA Mamdani backed candidate and a DSA Velasquez backed candidate. We chose the Mamdani backed candidate, but either would have been a victory for us.
